About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist with over eight years’ clinical experience in the NHS and private practice. I am a registered psychologist with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I offer short and long-term psychotherapy for a wide range of difficulties. Using an integrative approach, I draw from a range of psychological theories depending upon your particular needs and goals. For instance, we might work together to understand how your early life experiences and important relationships have affected you and might be contributing to your current difficulties. Alternatively, you might be suffering from anxiety, low mood or stress and want to find a way out of this. Perhaps you just want an opportunity to speak and be heard.

I offer a confidential space to talk through what is going on for you. Together, we will build a relationship of trust and safety in which you can develop insight into the meanings behind your difficulties, develop alternative perspectives on your situation and feel more in control of your life.

It can take time to find a therapist you feel comfortable working with. I would invite you to come to an initial face-to-face consultation to discuss what is troubling you and to see if we could work together. We will then decide together on a focus for the work, with opportunities to review this along the way. You can email or call me with any queries.

Practice description

I offer both in-person and remote psychotherapy. I currently hold my private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham and The Greenhouse Therapy Rooms in Richmond.

My first session

Your initial session is a chance for us both to meet and to develop a sense of whether we would be able to work together. Finding the right therapist is fundamental and we would take our time to explore how it would feel to work together and what this work would look like. I would ask you to tell me about your current difficulties and we would start to make sense of these in the context of your upbringing, current circumstances and social context.
