Availability
I currently have availability for children and young people aged 3–18 in my private practice.
I work Monday to Friday, with morning, daytime and after-school sessions available.
If you're looking for support for your child or teenager, or would like some reflective parenting support, please get in touch via phone, WhatsApp or email.
I offer a free initial phone consultation where we can talk through what has been happening, you can ask any questions you may have and I can explain how I work.
From there, we can arrange a time to meet in person and talk in greater depth about what your child is experiencing and what support might be most helpful.
About me and my therapy practice
I'm an Integrative Therapist and have been working professionally with children and young people for over 17 years.
Over the years I have worked across special-needs provisions, pupil referral units, mainstream primary schools, secondary schools and private schools, which has given me a wealth of experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs and experiences.
Children don't always have the words to explain what is happening. Sometimes their behaviour, emotions, play or creativity can tell us much more about what is going on in their inner world.
My work adapts to your child rather than your child having to adapt to me. I use art, play, creativity and talking to help your child better understand themselves and their experiences. I know that every child is different, and sometimes supporting a child requires some out-of-the-box thinking and finding an approach that works for them.
I work with children and young people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, school difficulties, anger, friendship difficulties and changes within their family, including separation, divorce and bereavement. I also have extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent needs.
I believe therapy is part of a bigger picture of support around a child. Where appropriate, I work alongside parents, schools and other professionals involved in your child's life. This might include reflective parenting sessions, speaking with school, attending meetings or providing reports. This helps everyone involved to better understand your child's needs, work from the same page and work together in your child's best interests.
Practice description
I work with children and teenagers who may be struggling with their emotions, behaviour, school, friendships, anxiety or things happening within their family, whether that relates to the past, present or future.
Sometimes it is very clear what a child is struggling with. Other times parents simply notice that their child has changed, is behaving differently or doesn't seem themselves. Sometimes the cause is obvious, and other times it can be difficult to understand what is behind it or what you can do to help.
Some children find it easy to talk about their feelings, while others find it much easier to communicate through drawing, art, play, sandtray, storytelling or other creative approaches. I use these approaches and many more alongside talking to give children different ways to express themselves, build their emotional language and explore what they are experiencing, including processing past or ongoing events. My work helps children develop a better understanding of themselves, build resilience and move from a difficult or stuck place towards a place of growth.
I work with children and young people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, anger, school difficulties and school refusal, friendship difficulties and changes within their family. I also have extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent needs.
I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to working with children. Sometimes supporting a child requires looking at things differently and thinking outside the box. My work adapts to your child, their individual needs and what works for them and your family.
My first session
Our first session is an initial parent/carer meeting. We will run through a full chronology, from birth through to where you are now. This is an opportunity for you to see the room, ask questions and talk about what has been happening.
You don't need to have all the answers and no preparation is needed. This initial session is catered to your needs and will be guided by me so that I can build a full picture of your child, their experiences and what they may need support with.
We will then organise a day and time for your child's sessions, which will become their regular weekly session.
Your child will come into the first session with you for the first 10 minutes, where appropriate. I will introduce myself, and we will talk about confidentiality, safety within the room and what they can use the space for. Depending on what we discuss during our initial meeting, we will decide whether you leave or remain in the room.
For some children, the initial sessions are about building trust and creating a sense of safety before they are ready to explore difficult feelings. For others, there can be an immediate opening to talk about or let out what they have been struggling with.
Children can freely explore the room, which has a comfortable sofa, chairs, figures, puppets, games, toys and a sandtray, to name just a few things. These can become important tools for children to express themselves, explore their experiences and begin to make sense of what they are feeling.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Child Integrative Therapist. I have more than 17 years’ experience working with children and young people across mainstream and private schools, specialist and SEND settings, pupil referral settings and private practice.
I work with children and young people aged 3–18 and use an integrative approach, combining talking therapy with creative and arts-based approaches, depending on the individual child or young person.
I don't believe there is one way of working that suits every child. Some children find it easier to talk, while others may communicate more through art, play, creativity or other forms of expression. I adapt the work to the child, their age, development and what they are comfortable with.
My experience has given me a strong understanding of the emotional, social and behavioural difficulties that can affect children and young people, including anxiety, emotional regulation, SEND and neurodevelopmental differences.
I want children and young people to feel safe, listened to and understood, without feeling judged or pressured to talk before they are ready.
Practice description
I provide individual therapy for children and young people aged 3–18, using creative and arts-based approaches alongside talking therapy. I also offer Reflective Parenting sessions for parents and carers.
My work is centred on the individual child. I take time to understand their experiences, relationships and wider environment rather than focusing only on the difficulty that has led them to therapy.
I don't just want to understand what a child is doing or what has brought them to therapy. I want to understand what may be happening underneath this and what they may be trying to communicate through their feelings, relationships and behaviour.
Where appropriate, I can work alongside parents and carers, liaise with schools and other professionals, and consider family therapy where this would be helpful.
I also offer school visits, professional consultation and reports where these are agreed in advance.
My standard child therapy session is 50 minutes and costs £100. Sessions are normally arranged weekly at the same time, with fees paid one month in advance.
You do not need to know exactly what your child needs before getting in touch. We can talk through what is happening and consider together what support may be appropriate.
My first session
Before arranging therapy, I offer a free initial telephone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to talk through what has been happening for your child, for you to ask any questions and for me to explain how I work.
If we decide to work together, the first session is an initial parent/carer meeting. This is a dedicated session where we can go through your child's history and circumstances in greater depth and build a fuller picture of what they have experienced and what has brought them to therapy.
This may include talking about your child's development from birth to the present, family circumstances, relationships, education, previous support and any significant experiences.
This gives me the opportunity to understand the wider picture before beginning regular therapy with your child.
No preparation is needed and you do not need to have all the answers. I will guide the conversation and you can share what you feel is important.
