About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor and work with adults and young people aged 11 upwards.

Asking for help can sometimes be difficult. Starting counselling can feel like a big step to take when you're struggling. I believe that finding someone you can trust and feel safe with is an important part of helping you to talk about all the things that are troubling you.

I am a friendly, down to earth counsellor with experience of working with a young people aged 11 upwards and adults within a confidential and safe environment. For me, the heart of counselling is a good relationship between client and counsellor.

We are all individual and unique and people will naturally need different things from counselling. I use an integrative, person-centred approach which means that we can work together in a way which best suits you, drawing from different techniques which will support you through the process of counselling. I will help you to reflect and explore to find your own solutions and your own methods of overcoming challenges.

I work within an NHS agency for young people aged between 12 to 24 years and in private practice working with adults and young people from 11 years upwards.

My first session

I offer you a free 20 minute telephone consultation to discuss any questions you may have. If you would like to go ahead, then we can book your first session either in person at my practice, or via Zoom or telephone.

The first session will be about why you are looking for counselling; what you want to achieve from the therapy, and agreeing how we are going to work together.  I will probably ask you a number of questions to help you decide whether you will both be comfortable working together and to check that you can be offered the most appropriate support.
