About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome! I’m Mandi, and I’m an integrative creative clinical supervisor. I work with trainee counsellors, qualified counsellors, mental health and wellbeing practitioners and other professionals seeking supervisory support for their practice.
I’m based in Cleadon near Sunderland and I work from my home based therapy space to deliver your supervision face to face or on zoom.
I offer traditional and creative supervision. I’m qualified in the CRAFTS model of supervision, which was developed by the creative counsellors and is aligned with the 7 eyed model of supervision and mapped to BACP competencies.
I have lived experience of complex trauma, adoption and neurodivergence. I previously worked in primary schools for a number of years as a school counsellor. I now work solely in private practice with adults, couples and children. I have over 40 years of experience in supporting people, especially in relation to mental health and challenging behaviours and experiences.
Practice description
My approach is integrative, grounded in person centred values and informed by trauma-focused and neurodiversity affirming practice.
I provide a supportive, reflective, creative and ethically robust space for you to explore your client work, celebrate your growth and navigate the challenges of your therapeutic practice. I have particular experience and interest in supporting practitioners who are working with complex trauma and neurodivergence. I’m also an all age practitioner so can support you whether you work with children, young people or adults.
Supervision with me is collaborative, relational and rooted in mutual respect. I want you to feel that you can bring anything to supervision. You matter too!
So whether you’re looking for a safe space to process your therapeutic work, deepen your practice, or meet professional and ethical requirements, I offer supervision which is both reflective and practical.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute chat on zoom or telephone so we can connect and explore whether or not we are a good fit to work together. This gives you a chance to tell me about yourself and your practice, your insurance, your professional body membership, how you work and what you are looking for from a supervisor. I’m interested in you as a person as well as your practice and client work. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
