About me and my therapy practice

I'm an integrative counsellor based near Cambridge. I offer face to face sessions as well as online and by phone. I aim to provide a safe space for you to talk about the things that may be holding you back in life. I will listen without giving advice or judgement to allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings and hopefully to find the forward that's best for you. I believe the relationship is key in counselling and I use a variety of tools to create an individual approach for you. I offer both short-term and long-term counselling according to your needs which we can discuss together.

Practice description

I'm a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling Practice and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My training was mainly focused on the psychodynamic approach, looking at how our past experience influences us in ways we may not be fully aware. I also have a grounding in humanistic and CBT approaches and have done additional training to work with people who have experienced trauma. I’m particularly interested in developments in the field of neurobiology and applying this to help people resolve inner conflicts and improve quality of life.

I have experience working with a number of local charities including Centre 33, Lifeline, Mentis Tree CIC, MIND, and CHOICES. I have worked with a range of different presenting issues including anxiety, depression and bereavement. I have experience working with people experiencing workplace-related stress and those with a caring role. I also work with people to help them learn tools such as breathing techniques and grounding to manage their wellbeing.

I undertake regular continuing professional development to enhance my practice.
