About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Counsellor (MBACP) with an MSc in Counselling Psychology and experience spanning private practice, higher education wellbeing services, bereavement support, and NHS-adjacent community mental health. My training is grounded equally in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural frameworks, and I bring these together in a way that is responsive to you rather than prescribed.
I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, honest, and genuinely collaborative. I don't follow a fixed script. Instead, I pay close attention to what you bring — your story, your pace, your goals — and I adapt how we work together accordingly. Whether you are looking to understand long-standing patterns, process something painful, or simply feel more grounded in your life, I will meet you where you are.
As an international practitioner with experience across diverse cultural and institutional settings, I am particularly attuned to questions of identity, culture, power, and belonging. I work with clients from all backgrounds and warmly welcome LGBTQ+ individuals and those from global majority communities. Difference is not something I work around — it is something I work with.
I offer both time-limited and open-ended therapy, and sessions take place online via secure audio/video call.
Practice description
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
Anxiety and depression
Trauma and PTSD
Grief and bereavement
Relationship difficulties
Substance use and dependency
Sexual concerns
Sexuality and gender identity
My approach integrates psychodynamic thinking — exploring how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns shape how you feel and function today — with cognitive behavioural tools that help to develop new ways of thinking, responding, and coping. I also draw on mindfulness and grounding techniques where these are helpful.
All sessions are 50 minutes and take place online via secure video call, with daytime and evening availability. I offer both short-term focused work (typically 6–12 sessions) and longer open-ended therapy, depending on what you are looking for.
My first session
Initial contact- Free of charge
We begin with an initial consultation — a chance to talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether we feel like the right fit. There is no pressure or obligation to continue.
Confidentiality is central to my practice. Everything we discuss remains private, within the ethical limits set out in the BACP Ethical Framework.
If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, or have questions before getting in touch, I am happy to hear from you. Taking the first step is often the hardest part — I will do my best to make it straightforward.
