About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Amanda, a BACP Accredited psychotherapist, counsellor, yoga teacher, and holistic therapist. I offer therapy for a wide range of *emotional, *relationship, *self-esteem, *trauma, and *identity-related issues. Online therapy in Cambridge.

I work in a pluralistic way and integrate multiple therapy models.

Working pluralistically means I’m adaptable in my approach. I seek to truly listen and understand you. Drawing from a diverse range of techniques, I curate a unique therapy experience that will meet your needs and facilitate your process.

At the heart of my approach is developing a safe and trusting relationship with you. We go at your pace, allowing space for feelings to emerge and our understanding to grow.

As trust deepens and patterns become visible, we find the most effective pathway through therapy.

I integrate therapeutic approaches and techniques from:

IFS (Internal Family Systems): Explores the inner dynamic of different “parts” of self, and unlocks your innate drive towards healing.

EFT (Emotion-focused Therapy): Explores emotional patterns and gently processes and releases trauma at the roots. Supports a new sense of self that feels empowered and resilient.

Efit (Emotionally-focused Therapy): Explores relational patterns and gently processes and releases trauma at the roots. Supports a secure, confident self and cultivates healthy boundaries.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy: Explores unconscious drives and early life experiences to gain insight into how they influence your present.

Inner Child Therapy: Connects with the childlike aspects of you, helping you tend to unmet childhood needs, heal emotional hurt, and reawaken creativity and joy.

We may bring somatic practices, art, drawing, guided imagery, chair-based role play, memory reprocessing tasks, mindfulness, and breath work into our work – or simply talk. We go at your pace, and what feels right to you

We share what emerges from our work at each turn and find the best way forward.
