About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP qualified counsellor, who provides an honest, confidential and non-judgemental space to allow you to explore your life, your experiences, your thoughts and your feelings. Whatever reason is for seeking out counselling; whether it is feeling unhappy or anxious or whether you want to deepen your understanding of yourself, your relationships and your world, I believe that counselling can be a collaborative place to find your own answers to the challenges you face.

I have over a decade of extensive experience counselling in a wide variety of settings and with people from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This includes experience in working in NHS primary care,  GP practices, IAPT services, hospices, bereavement services, with national mental health charity MIND, local charities, schools and university students. I currently work as a team leader for the RNIB, offering counselling sessions over the phone and managing a team of counsellors and volunteers. I have also completed post graduate studies in counselling therapy.

I am experienced in helping people with a huge range of issues such as anxiety and depression, stress, low self-esteem, feelings of loss and grief, physical illness, loneliness, issues around identity, culture and childhood, including neurodivergence. I also help people address relationship and family issues, including parenting, divorce, loss and separation.

Practice description

I draw on knowledge and skills from various therapeutic approaches based on your individual circumstances in order to provide the most effective and personalised therapy for your needs. I aim to provide an open minded respectful and collaborative approach, working with you to feel more empowered and in control to make decisions that are appropriate for you.
