About me and my therapy practice
I am a Trauma-Informed Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor based in Manchester City Centre.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental, anti-discriminatory service that is open to all, including those who are neurodivergent and those who suspect they may be.
About me
I have a master's degree in clinical counselling from the University of Chester, and I have worked as a Clinical Counselor within an NHS Psychological Therapies Service for several years while delivering a private practice.
My background is in the Performing Arts. I lectured in Contemporary Dance before becoming a High School Teacher. Working through my own adverse childhood experiences and supporting students in a pastoral capacity led me to a career in counselling, which is both rewarding and life-enhancing for me.
Issues I worked with:
I have helped people to work through the aftermath of coercive controlling relationships, complex grief, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, anxiety, depression, unexpressed or numb emotions, extreme irritation and anger, fear of connection, painful separation and divorce, domestic violence, gambling, alcoholic addiction, disordered eating, body image issues and more.
