About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming at times, or as though you’re moving through it carrying something that’s hard to name. You might be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, infertility, stress at work, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself or others. Some people come to therapy because of a specific difficulty, while others notice a feeling that something isn’t quite right, or that they’ve become stuck in patterns that are hard to shift.

Often, the ways we struggle can begin to make more sense when we understand the context they developed. This can be done through understanding the relationships we’ve had, the experiences we’ve lived through, and the ways we’ve learned to cope along the way. What can feel confusing or frustrating today has often come from something that once helped us manage, protect ourselves, or get through.

Practice description

In therapy, we can begin to slow things down and gently turn towards these experiences with curiosity rather than judgement. This might include noticing emotional patterns, inner conflicts, or different parts of yourself that seem to pull in opposite directions. Rather than trying to fix or remove these experiences, we can begin to understand them and explore what it might be like to relate to them differently. Often, it is through being met and understood in this way that something begins to soften or shift.

Therapy is also a relationship, and it is within this relationship that much of the work can happen. The way you experience yourself with another person and the feelings that can emerge whilst in a relationship can offer important insight into how you relate to others and to yourself. Over time, this shared space can become somewhere you might experience something different: steadier, more open, and less alone with what you are carrying.

I offer a calm, consistent, and compassionate space where you don't need to have the right words or a clear sense of what you need before beginning. We can find that together, at your own pace.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
