About me and my therapy practice

I work with people who want to understand themselves better and make changes in their lives. Perhaps you find yourself falling into familiar patterns that leave you feeling anxious, disconnected or stuck. Or perhaps you have a sense that something isn't quite right, but find it difficult to put your finger on what you feel, need or want.

Much of my work is about helping you develop a stronger sense of who you are. This involves becoming more aware of your feelings and bodily responses, and getting a clearer sense of what matters to you, what you need and what feels right for you. Over time, this can help you feel more confident in yourself and your choices, and more able to live and relate to others in ways that feel true to who you are.

While talking can help us make sense of challenging life experiences, I also place importance on working with what is held and felt in the body. Through somatic approaches, we can begin to notice and stay with bodily sensations and emotions that may previously have felt too difficult or overwhelming to face. Rather than simply talking about these experiences, we give them the space to be felt and worked through. This can help them reach a natural resolution, lessen their hold on you and build your confidence in facing difficult feelings rather than avoiding them.

I offer a space where you can speak openly, without fear of judgement, and where we can work things through together at a pace that feels right for you. I don't see my role as giving you answers or telling you how to live. Instead, I hope to help you make better sense of yourself, develop greater trust in your own feelings and experience, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Practice description

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with a postgraduate diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. My approach is integrative, combining talking therapy with mindfulness and somatic practices. I work online with adults aged 18 and over.

As well as English, my native language, I have a solid understanding of the Portuguese, Spanish and French languages.

My first session

If you are considering working with me, the first step is to get in touch by email or phone and tell me a little about what has prompted your decision to start therapy. If it seems that I may be able to offer the support you are looking for, we can arrange an initial session, either in person or online.

The initial session gives us an opportunity to meet, talk in more detail about what is going on for you and begin to get a sense of whether we might work well together. Afterwards, we can decide whether to continue with regular sessions.
