About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced couple and individual psychotherapist and I am committed to helping you understand and edit your internal narratives so you can find more meaning in your life and relationships.

I trained and qualified with Tavistock Relationships, an internationally renowned centre of excellence for couple and relational therapy.  I continue to see clients there alongside my private practice.

Being human is hard; not least because we get stuck in destructive patterns of behaviour, that can be buried far from our own sight and understanding.

I will encourage and support you to think about deeply held beliefs and fears so you can build your capacity for more meaningful relationships and bring more of yourself to everything you do.

Some of the issues I work closely with include;

- anxiety and depression

- communication issues

- repetitive relationship patterns

- infidelity and trust issues

- issues around intimacy and sex

- struggles around challenging transitions;

- aging and retirement

- children leaving or returning home

- personal development

- relational trauma

- workplace stress and burnout

Practice description

I work from a psychodynamic perspective which means that we will be looking at all aspects of your story.  Our feelings, behaviours and life choices are the foundation of our ability to give and receive love and sometimes this can be blocked, causing immense unhappiness to ourselves and those we are in relationship with.

I work with both couples and individuals in a non judgmental space which will allow you to work through your concerns in a warm and safe context.

My first session

I offer an initial consultation of 1 hour during which time we will look at what has brought you to therapy, if things could be different what would that look like and whether I am the right person to help. The therapist-client relationship is of paramount importance so it is essential that you feel comfortable with me.

Following an initial consultation I can offer 50 minute weekly sessions using a secure and confidential zoom link.  At present I have no availability for in-person sessions.
