About me and my therapy practice

Anxiety can quietly begin to take over so much of your life. The constant overthinking, the sense of always being on edge and the feeling of never being able to properly switch off can make even ordinary days feel harder than they need to be.

Many of the women I work with appear to be coping on the outside whilst internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted and stuck in cycles of worry and self doubt. Over time, anxiety can begin to affect relationships, work, confidence, sleep and the ability to simply feel calm and present.

It can feel exhausting carrying that weight, especially when you have been trying to appear “fine” whilst struggling internally.

I understand how consuming anxiety can feel. Having experienced it personally myself, I know how powerful it can become, but I also know that change is possible. My passion is supporting women to gently step out of exhausting cycles of anxiety and overwhelm, better understand what may be driving it underneath the surface and begin to feel calmer, safer and more confident within themselves again.

What I Can Help You With

  • Fear of anxiety itself, panic or constantly anticipating something going wrong
  • Physical symptoms such as a racing heart, tension, nausea or breathlessness
  • Overthinking and “what if” spirals
  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed, burnt out or unable to properly switch off
  • Avoiding people, places or situations that feel overwhelming
  • Low self trust, self doubt and second guessing yourself
  • Feeling more present and connected in everyday life, relationships and work
  • Having a safe space where you no longer have to pretend everything is okay

Practice description

How I Work

I offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out.

Together, we will gently explore:

What may be sitting underneath the anxiety, including unmet emotional needs, past experiences or long held fears

Understanding the cycle of anxiety itself, so it begins to feel less frightening and overwhelming

Practical ways to soothe your nervous system and regain a sense of steadiness

Building a more compassionate and trusting relationship with yourself

My approach is integrative and person centred, grounded in empathy, warmth and collaboration. Whether this is your first experience of therapy or you have had counselling before, you will be met with honesty, care and respect.

A Recent Client Shared

"At first, she helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was. Amy helped me uncover the root of my anxiety. Once I understood that connection, everything began to make more sense. From there, we worked together on understanding, acceptance, and developing healthy coping mechanisms. It took time, but gradually my entire perspective began to shift. With every session, I felt a part of myself returning."

Next Steps

I offer in person sessions from my quiet, cosy garden therapy room in Eagle Farm South, Milton Keynes, with free parking available. I also offer online sessions via Zoom for adults aged 18 and over across the UK.

Sessions are £70.

If you are considering counselling, you are welcome to book a free 10 minute introductory call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect and for me to learn a little more about what is bringing you to therapy.

If you decide you would like to explore working together, we can then arrange a full consultation session where we can look at your needs in more depth and decide whether we are a good fit.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch or visit Crown Counselling. I look forward to connecting with you.

My first session

During the first session we will go through your client intake form and I will ask a few more questions to get to know you a little better. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask me anything you would like.

From there, if we decide that we will be a good fit, we can get you booked in for regular counselling sessions.
