About me and my therapy practice
Grief doesn’t always begin with death. Sometimes it begins with a diagnosis, a difficult prognosis, an ageing parent, or the knowledge that a beloved pet’s time is limited.
Perhaps you’re anticipating the death of someone you love, facing your own mortality, or finding your way through bereavement. You may be experiencing sadness, fear, guilt, anger, uncertainty, or even moments of joy amidst it all.
I offer a compassionate, thoughtful space to talk about death, dying and loss openly, without judgement or expectations about how you should feel.
Together, we can explore what matters to you, the changing nature of relationships, the uncertainty of what’s ahead, and the challenge of continuing to live fully alongside grief.
There is no prescribed journey, no timetable and no requirement to move on. My role is to accompany you as you discover your own way forward, whatever that may look like for you.
Practice description
I work on-line and by telephone. My clients enjoy the safety and comfort of being in their own environment, without the stress and additional time requirement of travelling.
I integrate counselling and coaching in a humanistic way, which means that our work together is led by you.
When appropriate, I may offer tools which might benefit you, but there is no expectation that you will employ them. I do not set 'homework' or assessments.
Of course, everything discussed within the session is confidential.
I also offer 'between session' text support to my clients.
Sessions are generally 60 minutes and at a frequency which suits you.
My first session
Your first 'Let's Meet' session is free and up to 30 minutes. This includes time to discuss your needs and expectations, while still giving you the opportunity to experience what it will be like to work with me.
We will also discuss the frequency and length of sessions going forward, if you decide to continue..
