About me and my therapy practice

Often people seek therapy when they are experiencing painful emotions or difficulty in their life and relationships. I work as a Gestalt Psychotherapist to support people who experience these difficulties, such as: anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, health-related issues, life skills, loss, mental health issues, personal development, personal problem solving, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, self harm, stress,  or work related stress.

As a Gestalt therapist I believe healing comes through exploration of self, and how you are in relationships with others. By raising awareness of who you are at your core, how you show up in the world, and how you have come to be that way, we can start to identify alternative ways of being that realise the change you are seeking - to experience living in the world differently.

I work in person or online and I have a therapy dog.

Practice description

I am based in Central Fleet, Hampshire, and offer a private, safe and confidential setting where you can talk openly about your feelings and concerns. I won’t provide advice to solve your problems - I believe change comes from you having greater awareness of yourself and the choices you want to make. I will help you increase your awareness and choices by listening to your story, sharing my experience of being with you, and supporting you to understand yourself better. You might talk about difficult events in your life or your relationships, together we will explore your experience, your thoughts, behaviours and emotions.

Individual therapy sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly.

Couples therapy sessions last 75 minutes and take place fortnightly.

I have a therapy dog. You can choose whether or not you'd like my therapy dog to be present during your sessions.

My first session

It's important to make sure you feel able to work with the person you choose as your therapist. As such, I offer a free 30-minute introductory Zoom call giving us chance to meet, discuss the support you are looking for and find out if I am the right therapist for you, before agreeing to start formal sessions.

During this time we'll talk about how we'll work together, when your sessions will be and whether we work together face to face or online, along with covering any other questions you may have about therapy and working with me.
