About me and my therapy practice

Hi there 😊 So, you're thinking about therapy? Fabulous! Or maybe you're just having a nosey, like peeking into a quirky little shop. Either way, come on in!

I'm Kes, and I see therapy as a chance to connect with yourself (and maybe untangle some of those colourful threads of wool in your lovely brain). I offer a down-to-earth space where I'll really listen to your story – the whole, wonderfully weird you.

Sometimes we get a bit disconnected from our miraculous bodies and those rollercoaster feelings. I like to gently explore these connections with you, maybe through some creative doodling 🎨 or just noticing what your body is saying (it's surprisingly chatty!). No pressure if this sounds a bit out there – we'll go at your pace.

Calling all you brilliant humans who identify as LGBTQIA+, my wonderfully neurodiverse people, my fellow artists and creative explorers ✨, and also you helpers and carers who deserve some support too!

Think of our sessions as your weekly pit-stop – a place to unpack the mental baggage, maybe find the map you accidentally crumpled up, and figure out your next step. We'll explore how you relate to yourself and the world, and by tuning in, you can find your own inner compass and head towards more self-acceptance and a life that feels genuinely you. 💖

If this sounds like it might be a good fit – although you never know, you can always try me out – just send me a message. I'm all ears (and have a oodles of curiosity and compassion to share with you 🫂). 🌻

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is Kes (he/they). I provide supervision to counsellors and professionals of all kinds who desire a reflective space for insight and development. I offer a free, initial chat to explore if we would be a good match.

My practice is autism-affirming, anti-oppressive, queer-inclusive, and many of the people I work are motivated by spiritual practice and/or socially-engaged activism to make a positive impact on the world.

I practise with an awareness of established models of supervision, whilst maintaining my core, person-centred approach grounded in empathy, warmth and genuine presence. I'm also a therapy geek, with a keen interest in diverse methodologies, and different, individual styles of work.

Our supervisory process will be relational and based in dialogue that supports you to explore different aspects and angles of your work. This is a space to learn, play, grow and enhance your wellbeing and professional development.

Many supervisees enjoy bringing creative materials to their online supervision sessions, to dip into and aid reflection. You are welcome to bring a sand tray, clay, playdough, crayons, inks, journal, cards, or comforts such as blankets, fidget tools or whatever supports you to engage as your natural self. If you feel supported by your animal companions, you're welcome to have them in your space.

I believe that supervision is a collaborative endeavour and we can co-create, adapt, channel and innovate meaningful ways of working that uplift you as an individual and a professional with your own style, strengths and gifts.

I celebrate diversity and seek to understand and uplift difference, so that we can work together in a way that feels honouring of what brings you to supervision, and what you would like from the experience.
