About me and my therapy practice
People often come to therapy feeling worn down rather than broken—overstimulated, disconnected, carrying too much responsibility, or sensing that something important has gone missing.
I offer a calm, reflective space where you don’t need to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or “have it all figured out.” My work is grounded, relational, and human-centred, with a strong respect for your pace and autonomy.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring many years of lived experience working with people from all walks of life—often in pressured, complex, or unseen roles. This has shaped a therapy style that is practical, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of the realities people are navigating today.
I’m particularly interested in how stress, overwhelm, shame, and long-standing patterns quietly shape our lives—and how small, steady shifts can restore a sense of agency, dignity, and direction.
Practice description
My approach is integrative and relational. That means I draw from different therapeutic traditions, but always prioritise the quality of the relationship and what feels most helpful for you.
Sessions tend to be conversational, reflective, and gently exploratory. We might work with thoughts and beliefs, emotions, bodily sensations, meaning, or lived experience—depending on what feels present and relevant.
I don’t see therapy as something that is done to you. Instead, we work collaboratively to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and to support changes that feel realistic and sustainable in your life.
Where helpful, I also support clients to reconnect with grounding practices, embodied awareness, and their wider environment—especially when life has become overly cognitive or disconnected.
My first session
I recognise that coming to therapy can be daunting, and that private counselling is a significant investment in oneself. So I offer a free initial appointment, which I call a Discovery Call.
In this session I will seek to gain a clear understanding of what you would like to work on, what your strengths and preferences are, what you hope to gain from the process, and I will offer an initial plan of how we might work together.
If you then wish to continue with therapy, we will form a contractual agreement, which will include day, time and location of sessions, progress reviews, payment and cancellations.
If you would like to arrange a Discovery Call, please text or email me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
