About me and my therapy practice

I’m a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and counsellor based in East Ayrshire, offering support to people of all ages. I have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, teenagers, and adults.

Therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to take it alone. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, family difficulties, trauma, OCD, self-harm and abuse. I have further training in areas in including burnout, trauma, sleep and dreams, attachment, abuse and OCD.

I also have training in Adoption Counselling, Nutrition and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).

I use a tailored, integrative approach, drawing on CBT and counselling alongside other therapeutic approaches where appropriate. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing and work towards the changes that feel meaningful to you, at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.

Practice description

I offer face-to-face and online sessions.

My first session

In our first session, we will take some time to get to know each other and talk about what you are hoping to gain from therapy. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you throughout our sessions, as I understand that some of the things we explore in therapy can feel difficult at times.

We may also complete an assessment together during our first session. Before we begin, I will ask you to complete an intake form, which will give me a better understanding of what you would like support with and what you hope to get from therapy. This means we can use our time together to focus on what feels most important to you.
