About me and my therapy practice

I’m passionate about helping my clients find their strengths, believe in themselves, and lead happier more fulfilled lives. Therapy is not just about improving yourself; it’s also about letting go of the version of you that you created to cope with life’s challenges. Sometimes, in tough times, we lose touch with who we really are.

I am a psychotherapist, coach, and supervisor who lives in Manchester. I grew up in Wales, and I am from a dual heritage background (Black African & Indian). My motivation for becoming a therapist was born through my own life experiences. Experiencing the incredible benefits of having the right professional support in my life first hand, I wanted to be able to provide the same support to others. Like many people, I have faced trauma, sadness, and loss and learned that we can't truly be our best selves when we’re burdened by unresolved issues.

My goal is to provide that same support to my clients, and I’m dedicated to creating a safe space where clients can talk about their challenges, realise their potential, and live fulfilling lives.

Practice description

The foundation of my work is a person centred approach. I work collaboratively with you, sitting alongside the feelings and experiences that arise, exploring their roots while also considering the environment in which they show up. Therapy is a partnership, and to get the most from our time together, your engagement both during sessions and in between is an essential part of the process.

I offer a supportive and compassionate environment, working in partnership with my clients, and believe in approaching therapeutic work with kindness, an open mind, an open heart, and the occasional well-timed laugh to remind us that healing doesn’t have to be serious all the time. My specialisms are focused on helping survivors of abuse, those navigating romantic relationship issues, and issues of race and identity.

I offer online therapy through video or telephone calls to people across the U.K., and support both short & long-term therapy options. I won’t prescribe how many sessions you need. This is something we can work through together and can be led by you, your comfortability and progress.

My first session

How do we start working together?

If you're interested in working with me, just send me an email! We can chat about how we might work together. I offer a free 15-minute call so we can get to know each other, talk about your experiences of therapy, share any concerns you might have, and see if I'm the right fit for you before scheduling a first session.

What would a first session be like?

We'll start by talking about what led you to seek therapy and what you want to achieve. The collaborative side of our work is important, and it is important to mention that to get the best out of your experience, you will need to commit and put the time and effort into this work, inside and outside of our sessions.

How long do sessions last?

A therapy session lasts 50 minutes, and everything we talk about is confidential.

How many sessions can I have?

I offer online therapy through video or phone calls to people across the U.K., and I meet clients in person in Manchester (M1 2AP). I support both short & long-term therapy options, but I won’t prescribe how many sessions you need. This is something we can work through together and can be led by you, your comfortability and progress

How do we wrap up our sessions?

When you feel like you've accomplished what you wanted to from therapy, we can talk about finishing up and end our sessions in a way that feels comfortable for you.
