About me and my therapy practice
Welcome and thank you for visiting my page. My aim is to offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore your emotional challenges with you. With bringing empathy and compassion, this can help with expressing feelings and to try to make sense about what your deeper challenges are.
I will focus on helping you to manage your challenges in life, such as anxiety, depression, stress, health issues, bereavement and relationship difficulties. As part of my work, I create a therapeutic relationship with you, detecting what your needs are and if you wish to, consider making changes in your life. Your autonomy, your overall wellbeing mentally and physically.
I am accredited with NCPS, and I work with an integrative approach and this allows me to work with various models. This ensures the work is tailored for an individual and wellbeing is paramount throughout any work.
Whether dealing with a main focus, something you would like supported with or a general sense and feeling something is not quite right, I can help you to unravel the problem, find the root causes and begin focusing on moving forward.
This is an approach, looking at underlying patterns of behaviour, the focus may involve exploring past experiences in life. This maybe influencing your beliefs and thoughts and therefore affecting relationships in the here and now.
During our work, I will use techniques with active learning, empathy and questioning to help you to feel heard, gain clarity, space to talk, to feel less alone and supported throughout your therapy journey.
COUPLE WORK;
At times a challenging relationship with a partner can be the hardest thing but at the beginning of the relationship the communication may have been strong and you were able to support one another with ease, so why did it change?
My role would be to help you to understand why changes happen within a relationship, to offer the direction needed to make decisions about the relationship you wish for, for the future.
Practice description
The beginning of therapy can be daunting initially, being honest about yourself but needing to share that with someone who you don't yet know, but I believe if you decide to begin therapy you show strength as you have made a decision to find professional support and you wish to make changes within your life.
If you feel ready to begin your journey, understanding more about you and hear your 'own voice', I'd invite you to contact me for any questions about how I work and how I can help you.
I have expertise in Bereavement support and Couples support.
