About me and my therapy practice

You might be so used to putting others first that you’re not even sure what you want anymore.

Maybe you say yes when you mean no.

You worry about how you come across, replay conversations in your mind, and feel a sense of dread and guilt if you think you’ve upset someone.

You try to be “on form” for others, even when you’re exhausted underneath.

On the outside, it might look like you’re coping.

But inside, it feels overwhelming, stressful, and relentless.

I specialise in supporting people who are experiencing:

- Stress and burnout

- People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

- Low self-confidence and self-doubt

- Overthinking and anxiety around how others perceive you

You might find my sessions helpful if:

- You say yes to things you don’t really want to do

- You feel guilty when you try to put yourself first

- You overthink conversations and worry you were “too much”

- You feel responsible for how other people feel

- You avoid conflict, even if it means ignoring your own needs

- You often feel mentally drained or overwhelmed

- You struggle to switch off or fully relax

Therapy with me can be a space to gently rediscover yourself; to start listening to your own needs, trusting yourself, and building the confidence to live in a way that actually feels right for you.

I believe wellbeing isn’t only a mind-based process. Our emotions, body, and sense of connection are deeply linked.

Alongside my counselling work, I founded Rootra Ltd, a wellness space that brings together therapy, yoga, and community.

There is no expectation to engage with this, it’s simply a reflection of how I understand whole-person wellbeing.

Practice description

I’m a person-centred counsellor, which means our work is led by you - your pace, your experiences, and what feels important to explore.

If you’re used to putting other people’s needs before your own, therapy can be a space where you begin to experience what it feels like to put yourself first, without the guilt.

You don’t have to have it all figured out, and there’s no pressure to be a certain way.

This is a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Alongside this, I’m also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which I can bring in where helpful, particularly if you’d like support in managing patterns like overthinking, self-doubt, stress or people-pleasing.

If it feels right for you, I can also offer:

Gentle guided meditations to support relaxation and regulate your nervous system

Reflective journaling prompts between sessions to help you connect more deeply with yourself

There’s no expectation to use any of these. I always follow your lead and ensure we do what feels supportive for you.

So what does therapy with me actually feel like?

Many clients I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, mentally busy, and unsure where to even start.

In our sessions, you might begin to notice:

A sense of slowing down, sometimes for the first time in a while

Feeling heard and understood without needing to filter yourself

Being able to say things out loud you usually keep in

Less pressure to get things “right” or explain yourself perfectly

Over time, this can lead to:

Feeling calmer and more grounded

Less caught in cycles of overthinking or guilt

A growing sense of self-trust and confidence

Being able to set boundaries with more ease

Most importantly, you begin to feel more like yourself... not the version shaped by pressure or expectations, but the one underneath it all.

Reaching out to start therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re used to putting others first.

If something in this resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch, with no pressure to commit.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute introductory call (video or telephone)

This is a relaxed opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if we would be a good fit.

It's a chance to ask questions, understand my approach, and decide if this feels like a safe and supportive space for you.

Once we agree to begin, we can schedule your first full session.

At your pace, we’ll create a space where you can feel calmer, more understood, and more able to move through life in a way that feels right for you.

If any of this resonnates with you, you're very welcome to get in touch and we can work together to help you feel more grounded.
