About me and my therapy practice

As a BACP trained and registered therapist, I truly believe in the power of building a warm and trusting relationship with my clients. This dedicated space allows you to explore your inner world, helping to ease the pressures in other areas of your life. I understand that sharing your thoughts, feelings, or memories can feel daunting at first, but I'm here to support you every step of the way with genuine care and attention. My approach is collaborative and relational; I aim to be myself during our sessions, working together to uncover insights rather than following the traditional silent therapy model. My journey to becoming a counsellor was inspired by my own healing from personal trauma, and I have been privileged to work within the NHS and mental health charities.

Practice description

As a Humanistic Integrative Therapist, I offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centered, relational, and psychodynamic. Together, we can revisit challenging life events, allowing you to process them in a safe and confidential environment, identify unhelpful patterns in relating and gain a deeper understanding of your desires and aspirations. I specialize in supporting individuals who have faced difficult or traumatic childhoods, dismissive, abusive or distant parenting as well as those dealing with attachment issues in current relationships. I have extensive experience in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD and ADHD.

I offer an affirming space to LGBTQIA+ clients and support

people exploring sexuality, sexual wellbeing, gender and identity, consensual non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships. I understand that many LGBTQIA+ people have experienced misunderstanding, stigma or discrimination, and I strive to provide an affirming therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen, respected and accepted exactly as you are.

Outside of my clinical work, I have a passion for holistic health and spiritual wellbeing. If these areas are meaningful to you, I’m happy to thoughtfully integrate them into our work, always at your pace and only if they feel relevant to your therapeutic journey.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, collaborative and reflective space for therapists to explore their work, deepen their self-awareness and develop confidence in their practice. My approach to supervision is relational and integrative, grounded in the belief that the supervisory relationship is central to meaningful learning and professional growth.

Drawing on humanistic, person-centred and psychodynamic perspectives, I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be open about the challenges of your work, explore uncertainty and reflect honestly on what you bring to the therapeutic relationship. I believe supervision is about more than discussing clients; it is also about understanding ourselves as therapists, recognising our emotional responses and exploring how these may influence our work.

I welcome the complexity of therapeutic practice, including the moments when we feel stuck, uncertain, frustrated or emotionally affected by a client. I offer a balance of empathy, curiosity and gentle challenge, supporting you to consider different perspectives, recognise patterns and develop greater trust in your own clinical judgement.

Practice description

My particular interests include complex trauma, attachment, childhood experiences and the lasting impact of difficult family relationships. I work extensively with relationships - traditional or non traditional.

I am also mindful of the wider social, cultural and personal contexts that shape both our clients’ experiences and our work as therapists.

I see supervision as a collaborative process rather than a prescriptive one. Every therapist brings their own experiences, values, strengths and areas for development, and I aim to tailor our work to your individual needs, whether you are working in an organisation or building your own private practice.

Ultimately, I want supervision to be a space where you feel supported, understood and appropriately challenged; where you can think more deeply about your work, strengthen your ethical awareness and continue to develop your own authentic way of being a therapist.
