About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding life’s day-to-day challenges overwhelming? Do you sometimes struggle to share your thoughts and feelings with others? I am here to offer you a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you will have the time to talk openly and be truly heard. Together, we can work towards building a trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe, supported and respected.
I have trained as a Psychodynamic therapist, but I work integratively, drawing on Person-Centred, Solution-Focused, CBT and Mindfulness approaches, all tailored to your individual needs. While I may offer guidance or therapeutic interventions where appropriate, I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you to explore, reflect and gain deeper insight into yourself, your experiences, your past, and how these have shaped who you are today.
I have worked with clients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, supporting people with difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, anger, loneliness, relationship issues, domestic and sexual abuse, loss and trauma. It is a profound privilege for me to support individuals through their most challenging moments and to witness the growth, resilience and transformation that can emerge through therapy.
Counselling can be a powerful journey of self-discovery, offering you the opportunity to understand how you have become the person you are, while also exploring how you might wish to move forward with greater self-awareness, self-compassion and confidence.
Every client and every therapeutic process is unique, and I will always value you as an individual, with deep respect for your personal journey and the place you find yourself in now.

I am a fully qualified counsellor working with both couples and individuals.

About me and my therapy practice
Couples counselling is designed to support you both in cultivating a more rewarding, connected and meaningful relationship, while gaining a deeper understanding of yourselves, each other, and your partnership.
“Before we can forgive one another, we have to understand one another.” – Goldman
Couples counselling focuses primarily on your relationship, helping you work together to create a more loving, respectful and fulfilling connection. My approach is impartial and non-judgemental, meaning I do not take sides. Instead, I provide a safe and balanced space where both partners can be heard. Together, we can explore and make sense of the difficulties, hurt, or anger that may be present, while also acknowledging the strengths, care and affection that continue to exist within your relationship.
Each partner brings their own history, experiences, beliefs and expectations into the relationship, all of which shape how you think, feel and behave with one another. At times, these differences can lead to misunderstandings, frustration or conflict. Couples counselling therefore involves developing a deeper understanding of both yourself and your partner, fostering greater empathy, appreciation and awareness of each other’s perspectives, needs and values. This process can help you move towards a more harmonious and respectful connection.
It is important to emphasise that the decision to stay together or separate always rests with you as a couple; it is not the role of the therapist to make this choice for you. Instead, couples therapy offers a confidential and supportive environment in which you can explore your hopes and concerns for the relationship, reflect on how you communicate and connect, and work through conflict while also strengthening expressions of love and care.
I encourage regular weekly or fortnightly sessions, either in person at my practice or online, as this typically allows for the most effective and meaningful progress in your counselling journey.

If either of you feels the need for an individual session to discuss personal matters in more depth, this can be arranged and is often beneficial to the overall couples work.

About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling with life's day to day challenges? Do you find it difficult share your thoughts and feelings with others. I'm here to offer a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you will have your time to talk and where hopefully we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship. We are all individual and unique and although I will offer advice and intervention where needed ultimately you are your own expert in yourself and your own life.
I have trained as a Psychodynamic therapist but work with clients interrogatively with Person-Centred, Solution focussed, C.B.T. and Mindfulness all tailored to your needs. I will welcome and support you in whatever you bring to therapy, listening to you and working with you to explore, reflect on and regain insight into yourself, your situation, your past and how that has brought you to who you are today.
I have supported clients from a range of ages and backgrounds, working with issues including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, anger, loneliness, relationships, domestic / sexual abuse, loss and trauma. For me, it is the greatest privilege to support someone through their darkest moments and to witness the personal growth and development that therapy can bring.
Counselling can be a fascinating process of self-discovery, helping you to understand how you became the person you are and to think about how you might want to move forward as you develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance.
Every client and every therapeutic process is different, and I will always value you as a unique individual, with the utmost respect for the journey you have navigated and the place you find yourself in now.
