About me and my therapy practice
We all experience emotional and/or physical distress at various times of our lives. We are all individuals so how we would work together depends on what you want help with right now.
I believe we all have the capacity to calm and comfort our selves and see our way in life but that this can get clouded over. My practice aims to enable a ‘reset’ to bring this innate capacity back online.
Respect, kindness and non-judgemental curiosity are core to my approach.
Practice description
Currently my practice is online.
I have worked with men and women who’ve experienced sexual trauma and relationship trauma, bereavement and loss and health issues including cancer. I have been able to help clients with panic attacks, fear and anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and dysregulated emotions. Recently I have become interested in how we can change our experience of chronic pain.
In all the above I find using simple techniques to regulate our nervous systems works well alongside practice from IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy.
My first session
Before we decide to go ahead with counselling I offer a free consultation of up to 30 minutes online for both of us to get an idea of whether we want to work together.
This would not be a counselling session, more an exploration of what you want from counselling and whether that would work for us both, along with the practicalities.
