About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered BACP therapist and certified Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) practitioner and Rest and Restore Protocol Practitioner (RRP) specialising in nervous system regulation. Both of these clinically proven sound therapies are delivered through headphones and stimulate the vagus nerve giving you more connection to yourself, your relationships and the world around you.

I help people who are stuck feeling overwhelmed, suffering from burnout, stressed or anxious. This may be because of a traumatic event, challenging childhood, or day to day stressors. I  specialise in supporting people with chronic health conditions including ME/CFS, pain, Long COVID who get extra benefit from both RRP and SSP.

While traditional talk therapy is incredibly valuable for gaining insight, talking alone often falls short when dealing with chronic stress or trauma. This is because overwhelming experiences get trapped in the body and the nervous system, living below the level of  thoughts. You cannot logically talk your way out of a physiological "fight, flight, or freeze" response. By blending traditional counselling with somatic (body-based) practices and SSP /RRP we can gently retrain your nervous system to return to a natural state of safety, rest, and restoration.

My Approach: Moving Beyond Talk Therapy

Somatic Work: We focus on the physical sensations of stress and trauma, helping your body release stored tension and its threat responses.

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP): This non-invasive, evidence-based auditory intervention uses specially filtered music to stimulate the vagus nerve, directly calming your nervous system's defence mechanisms.

The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP): This listening system can help you move out of survival mode into a sustainable state of rest and repair.

Trauma-Informed Care: We explore how a challenging childhood, traumatic events, or daily stressors impact your current well-being, working at a pace that feels safe for you.

Please note that I work ONLINE.

Practice description

Are you feeling constantly overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or disconnected from the life you want to live?

As a qualified therapist specialising in nervous system regulation, I help individuals move past cognitive processing to find true, physiological safety. Alongside traditional therapy, I am a certified provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)—an evidence-based auditory intervention designed to retune the nervous system, lower anxiety, and improve emotional resilience. Together, we won’t just talk about healing; we will actively help your body and mind feel safe again.

Healing begins when your nervous system finally feels safe. I am a therapist specialising in somatic well-being and if you struggle with chronic stress, anxiety, or trauma, talking is only half the puzzle. By combining therapy with the SSP, we work directly with your vagus nerve to bring about calm.

In addition to helping you find new ways of being going forward, I will also teach you practical exercises to revitalise and soothe your nervous system enabling it to heal and recover.

Together we can start listening to your body and work out ways of calming your nervous system.

Whether you are recovering from a specific traumatic event or simply feeling exhausted by day-to-day stressors, I provide a compassionate, integrated space to help you heal from the inside out.

The Safe and Sound Protocol and the Rest and Restore Protocol. are clinically proven listening therapies which bring about more calm and connection in your life. Building a foundation of resilience, calm and safety. For more information please visit the websites below.

My first session

Reaching out can feel daunting, but you do not have to figure this out alone. To help you get started, I offer a free 30-minute introductory phone call where we can connect and explore how we might work together.

I understand that standard session lengths don't work for everyone. Because of this, I provide shorter, flexible coaching and counselling sessions tailored for clients navigating chronic fatigue or high anxiety. This gives us the space to identify the support you need and the goals you want to achieve at a pace that feels safe for you.

What to Expect Before We Start:

Free Online Assessment: Prior to our initial consultation, I will send you a brief online screening. This ensures my approach aligns safely with your unique goals and helps me understand the best path forward before we meet.

SSP Preparation: Before our first official session, I will share the assessment outlines and some Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) music samples. This gives you a chance to listen to the protocol tracks and helps us customise your plan.

Our First Sessions: Our initial couple of sessions will focus on defining what you would like to achieve. Together, we will go through the therapy contract and the SSP agreement so you feel fully informed. We will also map out how to begin the SSP so you can confidently continue your protocol at home between our scheduled therapy sessions.
