Hello there. I'm glad that you've landed on my directory listing.

At the moment, I have limited space to take on new clients, although this can change quickly. Please do get in touch if you're interested in working together. We will try and work something out or it might mean waiting for a while until I have availability.

I offer sessions from Monday - Thursday.

I work in-person, online, and outdoors, or a combination of the above.

About me and my therapy practice

Therapy has almost as many variations as there are people on the planet. However, across these variations, we can think of therapy as a healing process. The context, or the conditions for that healing, is the relationship between the client and the therapist. Alongside this relationship, there is a meeting of two human beings. Therapy works best when that meeting is as real as it can be, and a relationship characterised by trust forms between the two people.

Being real in your therapy will enable you to fully explore your situation and deeply connect in ways that lead to healing and wholeness. In my work as a therapist, I seek to build and deepen a real human connection with clients that facilitates healing as well as curiosity, learning, and growth.

I work in a down-to-earth and radically non-judgemental way. I will listen to you deeply, with compassion, and support you to understand your experiences and feelings in a confidential space. Led by you, our work together will follow where you need to go. We will adjust the pace and the style of the therapy to suit your needs. Throughout our time together, we will collaborate on how you might like to introduce change, and I may offer challenges to your perspective in a supportive way.

As well as talking through things, I also work creatively for those who are open to it. We may incorporate drawing, writing, poetry, sculpts, rituals, and chair work into sessions. Don’t worry if you don’t know what those things are. They are tools that we can use should you choose to explore your story in that way.

One of the most important things is that you feel safe and comfortable enough to be open and honest, so that we can get into how you’re really feeling, even if you’re feeling afraid to say what that is.

What’s really going on for you? Let’s get to the bottom of it together. I’m here with you and for you, no matter what you’re going through.

Practice description

I specialise in...

Relationships. Whether the issue is with a family member, a romantic partner, or someone at work, we can explore how you’re relating to others, and perhaps most importantly, how you’re relating to yourself. I work in an open and affirming way with people in all types of relationships: polyamorous, monogamous, queer, and straight, no matter your sexual identity.

Race, culture, and identity. Together, we can delve into your cultural perspective and what’s happening for you as a person on this planet right now. Alongside your experience, there will be larger systems and power structures at play that will have an impact on how you engage with the world. We can explore the fullness and complexity of these issues on personal and global levels.

Neurodivergence. If you feel like you experience the world differently, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis, we can talk about what that’s like for you. We will work together to adapt our sessions to align with your learning style and meet your needs. We are all differently abled and we all deserve to be heard and understood.

Big changes and transitions. Life can throw us all sorts of challenges and horrible things our way. I will support you to work through, understand, and overcome the complex difficulties that arise when we go through major life events like a mid-life crisis, a loss, an accident, an illness, a termination, a miscarriage, a break up or divorce, a traumatic event, or a mental health crisis.

Meaning, life purpose, and spirituality. Sometimes in life, we just feel completely lost. If you are looking to find your voice, connect to your higher self, or you’re searching for something but you’re not sure what, I will support you to find what you’re looking for. I work with clients of all faith backgrounds and none. No matter your belief system, we can explore your spirituality and what it means to you. We can bring rituals and/or spiritual practice into our sessions should you wish to do so.

My first session

For my therapy clients… I offer a free 20-minute initial chat. During our chat we can talk about what brings you to therapy and what you're looking for from your therapist. We will reflect on what it feels like for you to share your thoughts and feelings with me. Based on how it goes, we can decide how to proceed.

If we decide to work together, then we will find a day/time to meet on a weekly basis. I suggest an initial eight sessions to see what it's like working together. At session eight, we can review and move onto ongoing sessions if that’s appropriate.

I tend to work with clients in a long-term way, i.e., over the course of years. However, some people find that they get what they need after few weeks or months. What’s important is that the process of therapy is led by you and is meeting your needs. When the time comes to bring our work to a close, we will work together towards an ending.

Therapy is charged at £75 for a 50-minute session.

Finding the right therapist can be a tricky and overwhelming process. Even if we decide not to work together, I can support you in your onward search by giving you the contact details of other therapists.

Sessions from £75.00

Hello there. I'm glad that you've landed on my directory listing.

I believe that supervision is...

a collaborative relationship where a practitioner (the Supervisee) reflects on their work with an experienced therapist (the Supervisor). The Supervisee and the Supervisor work together to explore what feels important for the Supervisee in their practice, e.g., the Supervisee’s challenges, rewards, and dilemmas.

Although the supervision process focuses on the Supervisee’s working life, a blend of professional and personal themes may enter the exploration. Supervision tends to be most effective when the Supervisee feels comfortable enough to be honest bringing their whole self into the supervisory relationship.

Despite the fact that supervision stems from the therapy profession, it is offered across the many professions, including statutory services, business, and the charitable sector. No matter the area of work, supervision provides a useful, reflective space to develop in your role.

I am passionate about working as a supervisor and I would like the opportunity to get to know you and your work, to see if we're a match for one another.

At the moment, I have availability for new supervisees on Thursdays after 13.00 and on Wednesday day time.

If you're interested in working together, please check with me and we will try and work something out.

I work both in-person and online, or a combination of the two.

Please get in touch. I'd be happy to hear from you.

About me and my therapy practice

I work in a radically non-judgmental, down-to-earth, and relational way. I believe that our humanity is our greatest strength; as it is the root of our care and compassion. And yet, very often, it is our humanity that throws us off our therapeutic or professional stance. Something might come up at work that feels jarring, our old wounds can become activated, and we can feel stuck or experience barriers to empathy. My task as a relational supervisor is to bring compassion and curiosity to what’s going on for you, so that you may return to your work with renewed warmth and energy, feeling resourced and ready to take on the challenges that you face.

In our supervision sessions, there will be opportunities to take risks and try something new, bringing in creative approaches if that is of interest to you. In any event, the more honest you can be in supervision, with yourself, and with me, the deeper the exploration, and the greater the learning and growth.

I work with supervisees within the therapy professions including students on placement, fully qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. I am happy to work with practitioners who work with individuals, couples and groups, in private practice and in organisations. I also offer supervision outside of the therapy professions, working with people in any role from support worker to CEO.

Depending on your supervision needs, we will decide how often to meet and how long you’d like your sessions to be.

General Counselling

My expertise is in facilitating a supervisory space, no matter the role or profession. What’s happening for you in your work? Let’s get to the bottom of it together so that you can be the most effective practitioner that you can be.

I also offer supervision groups.

I believe that the aim of group supervision is to provide a space that feels supportive enough to talk about how you really feel about your practice right now. From this place of safety and trust, we will explore what’s happening for you, finding ways through the difficulties, and celebrating the joys. As a group, we will discover a common ground that feels connected enough to take risks, while honouring each individual practitioner’s approach to therapy, making room for difference. In any event, we will explore what feels important for each supervisee, offering both support and challenge in ways that feel useful.

During each session, supervisees will have the opportunity to present a theme, client or issue, and to respond to others presenting. I may offer the opportunity to explore things creatively if that feels helpful for you, incorporating drawing, writing, music, poetry, constellations, rituals, and chair work into sessions.

Supervision groups are run using a combination of ‘in a group’ and ‘with a group’ styles, meaning that there will be time dedicated to 1:1 supervision support as well as the opportunity to use the group as a resource. In responding to others, you will be supported to develop your own internal supervisor and facilitation style.

Please contact me if you are interested. I’d be happy to hear from you.
