About me and my therapy practice
🔹 About Me
I’m a fully qualified psychotherapist and EMDR therapist offering in-person sessions in Kent (near Orpington and Bromley) and online therapy across the UK.
My specialism is on the impacts of traumatic experiences. I work using a trauma-informed approach, which means instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?” I ask “What’s happened to you?” Because the issues we struggle with often make perfect sense in light of what we’ve lived through.
My work supports adults experiencing emotional overwhelm, anxiety, low self-worth, or stress — especially during times of transition or uncertainty. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, strengthen your emotional resilience, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
🔹 Areas I Can Help With
I work with adults who are navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including:
- Anxiety and general worry
- Depression and low mood
- Stress and overwhelm
- PTSD / CPTSD
- Low self-esteem and self-worth
- Burnout and emotional exhaustion
- Feeling stuck, lost or disconnected
- Emotional sensitivity and dysregulation
- Perfectionism and inner criticism
- Grief, loss and emotional adjustment
- Life transitions (career change, parenting, ageing, menopause, loss, relocation)
- Relationship difficulties (including patterns of avoidance, people-pleasing or conflict)
- Difficult family dynamics and early relational patterns
🔹 My Approach
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. My approach is integrative and collaborative, meaning I tailor each session to suit your unique needs, nervous system, and lived experience.
The main influences in my practice include:
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
- Person-Centred and Psychodynamic Approaches
- Somatic and Polyvagal-Informed Therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- EMDR

🔹 Session Information
Please get in touch for details about my current availability and fee structure. Fees vary depending on the service provided.
Sessions are usually booked for the same time each week and held consistently throughout the duration of therapy.
Therapy is open-ended, meaning there’s no fixed number of sessions. We’ll have regular reviews to reflect on your progress and how the work is going.
🔹 Face-to-Face Therapy
I offer individual sessions at my private practice in Kent, near Orpington and Bromley. I work from a safe, confidential garden office with ample private parking available on site. The practice is easily accessible from nearby areas, including Bromley, Chislehurst, Petts Wood, Beckenham, Sevenoaks, and Tonbridge.
🔹 Online Therapy
In addition to in-person sessions, I provide online therapy to clients across the UK and internationally. I am a Certified Online Counsellor, trained to work safely and effectively in the digital space.
🔹 Additional Information
Please note that I do not offer telephone or text-based sessions.
Cancellation policy: Appointments cancelled or missed within 48 hours of the scheduled session will be charged at the full fee. This ensures fairness, as appointment times are carefully reserved and late cancellations cannot be reallocated.
Fees are reviewed annually.
🔹 Professional Standards
I hold Accredited Memberships with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and am a Member of the EMDR UK Association.
I am fully insured (public liability and professional indemnity), hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and practise in line with the BACP’s ethical framework for counselling and psychotherapy.

🔹 Getting Started
If you're thinking about starting therapy, you're welcome to contact me to explore whether I'm the right fit for you.
I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute online consultation via Zoom or WhatsApp video. This is an opportunity to talk through what you’re looking for in therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work. It also gives us both a chance to consider whether working together feels like a good fit.
If we agree to begin working together, I’ll send over all relevant documents before our first session. This includes a therapy agreement, GDPR and privacy information, a client details form, and a short questionnaire.
The agreement outlines practical matters such as confidentiality, how we work safely together, and payment terms. You're welcome to ask questions about any of the documents before starting therapy.
🔹 First Session
In our first full session, you’ll be invited to share more detail about your current difficulties, and we’ll begin identifying your goals or areas of focus.
Sessions are charged at my standard rate, which varies depending on the service provided.
Throughout our work, we’ll hold regular reviews to check in on your progress and ensure the work continues to meet your needs.
