About me and my therapy practice
You may have a life that looks settled or successful from the outside while, underneath, you feel anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted. Perhaps you think through every possible outcome, find it difficult to switch off, put other people’s needs before your own, or feel responsible for keeping everything together. You may know that something needs to change but feel frightened, uncertain or unsure where to begin. You do not need to have the right words before you contact me.
I am a warm, compassionate integrative therapist offering online therapy to adults in Richmond, across South West London and throughout the UK. I provide a calm, non-judgemental space where you can slow things down, make sense of what you are feeling and begin to understand the patterns beneath your anxiety. I will listen carefully and work alongside you at a pace that feels manageable. I am supportive and gentle, but I will also help you look honestly at the fears, beliefs and coping strategies that may be keeping you stuck.
My work is particularly suited to younger adults and professionals experiencing anxiety, panic, overwhelm, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-worth, burnout or difficulties within relationships. I also work with the effects of childhood experiences, trauma, emotional neglect, grief and neurodivergent overwhelm.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Cognitive Science on the BPS pathway and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a member of the BACP and work within its Ethical Framework. Since beginning therapeutic work in 2020, I have gained extensive experience in private practice and charitable settings, including supporting people affected by mental-health difficulties, domestic abuse and coercive control.
Practice description
My practice is online only, allowing you to attend therapy from your own private space without having to travel or fit another journey into an already busy week. Sessions take place confidentially by Zoom and last 50 minutes.
My approach is integrative, which means I do not expect you to fit into one fixed way of working. I tailor therapy to you, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment, CBT-informed, trauma-informed, somatic and parts-based approaches. Together, we might explore what is happening in the present, how earlier experiences have shaped the way you see yourself and relate to others, and what your body may be communicating when anxiety takes over.
Therapy with me is not about being judged, analysed or told what you should do. It is a collaborative relationship in which you can be honest, curious and fully yourself. Some sessions may be reflective or emotional; others may feel practical, clarifying or even include moments of humour. Where helpful, I can offer grounding techniques and practical ways to manage panic, overthinking and overwhelm, while also helping you work at greater depth so that we are not only managing symptoms.
You may want support with feeling “not enough”, fearing rejection, setting boundaries, understanding relationship patterns, managing self-criticism or finding space for your own needs. Our work can help you feel safer in yourself, respond differently to difficult emotions and make choices that feel more genuinely your own.
Both short-term and longer-term therapy are available, depending on your needs.
My first session
Your first online session is a gentle beginning. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation, a list of goals or your whole life story prepared. You also do not need to give me a polished account of how you are feeling. I know that meeting a therapist can feel exposing, particularly when you are already anxious or accustomed to appearing capable, so I will help guide the conversation and we will go at a pace that feels comfortable.
We will meet privately on Zoom. I will invite you to tell me what has brought you to therapy, what has been feeling most difficult and what you would like support with. We may talk about how anxiety, panic or overwhelm affects your thoughts, body, relationships, work or daily life, as well as anything important from your past. You are always in control of what you choose to share.
I will also explain how I work, confidentiality and its limits, practical boundaries and what you can expect from our online sessions. There will be space for your questions and for us to consider whether I feel like the right therapist for you. You are not committing yourself to a particular length of therapy simply by attending a first session.
Most importantly, the first meeting is about helping you feel heard and beginning to understand what you need. We will identify a manageable starting point together, so you do not have to work everything out alone.
