About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Veronica, and I am an empathic, person- centred psychotherapist who works with adults and young people. I support people through life's challenges whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or simply needing a safe space to reflect, breathe, and feel grounded. I have a long history of supporting others in a compassionate and reflective way.
You may like to know a little about me. I began my career supporting survivors of domestic violence, and for many years after that I worked as a Children's Social Worker. Now, alongside my private practice, I also work within Education Welfare. In my private practice, I am passionate about supporting individuals, helping them reconnect with their authentic selves and make meaningful changes, whatever that looks like for them.
I have experience supporting a wide range of mental health challenges, including relationship difficulties, self-esteem, anxiety, self-harm, depression, abuse, addiction, childhood trauma, bereavement, and crisis. Therapy doesn't always need to be for crisis; we can seek healthy reflection, meaningful discussion, and support for the natural ebbs and flows of mental health and of life. I also work with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and ASD, and understand how this can shape experiences and daily life.
While my formal training is in person- centred therapy, I also draw on other approaches and techniques where they feel helpful, so sessions can be tailored to what works best for each client. My aim is to create a warm, compassionate space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to reconnect with your authentic self free from judgement Having personally experienced the benefits of therapy, I bring insight, and understanding to every session. My work is guided by respect, care, and a dedication to supporting people in their healing journey, helping them live more authentically and with greater awareness of themselves.
