About me and my therapy practice
I'm a relationship counsellor with over five years' experience working with couples who are in crisis, or who may find themselves frustrated and stuck reenacting old patterns, needing guidance resolving conflict, or help with better communication.
In my practice, I tend to work mainly in a psychodynamic way. Which means I will explore with both of you what you each learnt about relationships from your own family dynamics and how this may be playing out in your own relationship in the here and now.
As well as working psychodynamically, as an integrated therapist I am able to draw on other different modalities and approaches, such as CBT, to tailor the therapy to address your specific issue in the most effective way that fits best with your preferred way of working. This is something we can develop over the course of our work together.
Practice description
I'm happy to work face-to-face in my therapy room in Buckhurst Hill, or online. In my experience, both ways of working can be just as effective.
We'll start with a ten-minute introduction call, so we can have a brief chat about what you are looking to get out of therapy and discuss arranging the first session.
I generally recommend at least eight weekly sessions, which may be extended up to 16 if we agree more time is needed to work through the issues. It's preferable to have an end goal in sight with couples therapy to keep things focussed. Within the eight sessions, I also offer you the opportunity to each have an individual session with me if that's something you'd like to do.

About me and my therapy practice
It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. Whatever you're facing, you don't need to do it alone.
I work with individuals and couples from all sorts of backgrounds who may be facing many different kinds of challenges including; anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or it might be that they simply want to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. I also work with clients who have Autism and ADHD. And I'm specially trained to work with C-PTSD and trauma resulting from coercive control or domestic abuse in intimate relationships.
Therapy is a journey we go on together. I’ll be right beside you holding a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. We can work together to help you process whatever difficulties you’re facing, and develop strategies that can move you towards a calmer, more stable and peaceful way of being.
Practice description
I'm an integrated psychotherapist and counsellor. That means I work using several different therapeutic approaches. Depending on the type of problem or issue you’d like help with, I can combine these approaches in a way that’s specific to your individual needs and your goals for therapy. There is no 'one size fits all'. I'm happy to work with your preferences and will also suggest different methods and techniques we could try if I feel they would be beneficial.
I work with individuals and couples both online and in-person.
The fees for individual sessions are £65 online or £70 in-person. The fees for couples are £85 online or £100 in-person.
For clients who are students or on low incomes I also have limited space to offer up to eight online, low-cost sessions at a fee of £35. Please ask me for more details.
My first session
Before our first session I suggest having a ten-minute call, so we can say hello, and also to give you an opportunity to outline your reasons for wanting to start therapy, as well as ask me any questions.
After we've arranged a date for the first session, I'll send you my working agreement. It's a couple of pages to read and has more information about my practice policies. I'll also ask you to fill out a very brief client information form for my records. But apart from that, there's no other paperwork involved.
To help me get a better idea of how you'd prefer to work with me, in our first session we'll cover your past experiences with therapy (if you have any). It's useful for me to know what you feel was helpful and what you feel didn't work so well. We can also use this first session to talk about what you'd like to get out of therapy and set some goals to work towards.
