About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel as though you’re working twice as hard as everyone else just to keep up?

Perhaps you’re overwhelmed, anxious or burnt out. You may be questioning whether ADHD, autism or neurodivergence could be part of your story, or you may have spent years masking, adapting and trying to fit in.

You don’t need a diagnosis, the right words or a clear idea of what you want from therapy to come and talk to me.

I’m JoJo, a BACP Registered therapist offering warm, inclusive and neuroaffirming therapy for adults and young people aged 11+. I have a particular interest in ADHD, autism and AuDHD, anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationships, identity, self-esteem and LGBTQIA+ experiences.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, connection and humanity. I want you to have somewhere you can exhale, feel properly heard and explore what is happening without judgement or pressure to be anyone other than yourself.

My lived experience of neurodivergence and queerness sits alongside my professional training. It gives me a personal understanding of masking, feeling different and navigating a world that does not always make space for the way you experience it.

Whatever brings you to therapy, we can begin with where you are.

Practice description

Therapy with me is relaxed, conversational and collaborative. There is no expectation that you need to “do therapy” in a particular way.

You can talk things through, use humour, ask questions, sit quietly or take time to find the words. You don’t have to make eye contact or sit still, and we can make adjustments that help you feel more comfortable.

Sometimes we might explore difficult emotions, past experiences or patterns that keep appearing in your life. At other times, our work may be more practical—understanding overwhelm, emotional regulation, relationships, boundaries or the demands of everyday life.

I won’t reduce you to a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I’ll listen carefully, be curious about your experience and gently challenge you when that feels helpful.

I am a BACP Registered therapist with over seven years’ experience supporting adults and young people. I hold Level 2, 3 and 4 Diplomas in Counselling and Psychotherapy. My professional development includes neurodiversity, neuroaffirming ADHD assessment, trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, young people’s mental health, gender identity and LGBTQIA+ affirmative practice.

Sessions are available in person from my private studio near Milton Keynes, online across the UK, by telephone or as walking therapy.

My first session

Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step, so before you book a full session I offer a free 15-minute “Get to Know Me” call.

There is no pressure to tell me your whole story. You can ask questions, tell me a little about what has brought you here, or simply get a sense of me and how I work.

Most importantly, it gives us both an opportunity to see whether working together feels right.

If you decide you’d like to continue, we’ll agree how and when you would like to meet and I’ll send everything you need before your first 50-minute session.
