About me and my therapy practice
People often come to see me when they are:
• feeling emotionally overwhelmed or constantly on edge
• carrying grief or loss that still feels painful
• struggling with the impact of childhood experiences or trauma
• feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to change
• facing a life transition and feeling uncertain about the future
I have over 18 years’ experience working as a therapist, supporting adults through a wide range of emotional difficulties.
I am a Registered Member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
and work within their Ethical Framework for safe and ethical practice.
I hold a Higher Professional Diploma (Distinction) in Person-Centred Counselling (BACP accredited).graduating 2008.
Until recently, I spent over 10 years working within a counselling charity, supporting people through grief, loss and bereavement, offering structured programmes, focused on the individual's experience of loss.
Earlier in my career I worked within a counselling service in a children's centre, supporting parents with a wide range of issues including postnatal depression, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, relationship difficulties, relocation and migration, terminal illness, job loss and bereavement.
If you’re struggling with something in your life that’s causing emotional pain or leaving you feeling stuck, talking with someone outside of your everyday life can help.
In an ideal world we might turn to friends or family, but sometimes that doesn’t feel possible. You may worry about being judged, misunderstood, or feel that others have their own agenda.
I offer a safe, confidential and compassionate space where you can talk openly about what is happening for you. Many people experience great relief simply in sharing their thoughts and feelings with someone who will listen carefully and without judgement.
Together we can explore the experiences that are troubling you, helping you gain insight, process difficult emotions and begin to find your own way forward.
