About me and my therapy practice
I am humanistically trained with my main approach grounded in Person Centred Therapy. What does this mean? It means that you can talk to someone who will ask the right questions to enable you to find the best answers for you; there is no judgement, and I won’t tell you what to do. You are free to explore the reasons why you have come to counselling and will be supported in finding your own solutions and a way forward that feels right and appropriate for you.
Practice description
Do you feel that:
You have lost your identity within a relationship and want your voice to be heard so you can address your wants and desires
You believe or suspect you are in a coercive/abusive relationship and want to realise and develop your own boundaries that are acceptable to you?
You want to determine whether the relationship(s) you are in are right for you and be able to walk away from those that are not right for you?
You don’t ‘fit’ with your workplace/colleagues?
You are putting your needs to one side in order to please others and want to value yourself as an equal?
You are feeling constantly judged and criticised by others and want to feel accepted as you are?
Navigating relationships can be challenging, especially when dealing with complex dynamics. As a qualified counsellor with a special interest in narcissism and controlling, intimidating, and manipulative personalities, I am here to support you.
With extensive Continued Professional Development training in these areas, I offer a safe and understanding environment where you can explore your relationship concerns. Whether you’re dealing with a partner, family member, or colleague who exhibits these challenging behaviors, I can help you develop strategies to manage and improve your interactions.
Together, we can work on building your resilience, enhancing your communication skills, and fostering healthier relationships. My goal is to empower you to take control of your life and relationships, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
My first session
I offer a free, informal chat, usually over the phone so that we have an opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking counselling and check that working together is going to be right for us.

Practice description
Hello, I am Debby and I know from personal experience how daunting it can feel to reach out for some help and support.
But if you feel that you are struggling with emotions, or that they are 'all on top of you', or you would like to untangle your thoughts with someone who can listen and help you make sense of them in a warm and confidential environment, then please contact me.
Talking to a counsellor can help you better understand the changes happening in your life, explore what is important to you, and support you in better communicating your needs to those you have relationships with in your life. In our counselling sessions, you talk, I listen (and may also ask relevant questions) so that together we enable you to make changes to your life.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable bringing whatever feels important to explore. This might include client work, questions or challenges within your professional practice, or personal experiences that may be having an impact on your work.
I believe supervision is most valuable when it feels like a collaborative conversation — a place to pause, reflect, think things through together and perhaps see something from a different perspective. My aim is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, encouraged and able to explore your practice openly, while continuing to develop your confidence and professional growth.
