About me and my therapy practice
Hello.
I am a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults. I have a particular interest in supporting high-achieving professionals and creative artists who, despite an outwardly successful life, may feel privately overwhelmed or under strain, and who are navigating the complex stress, pressure and unique demands of their roles and industries.
My way of working is collaborative, reflective and exploratory: we think and feel our way through things together. Drawing on relational and psychodynamic approaches, with a strong emphasis on attachment theory, we'll explore how earlier experiences and unconscious processes shape your present life, relationships, and sense of self.
My hope is for us to work together towards deeper understanding of yourself, and for this to lead to practical change in your life.
Therapy with me may be helpful if you are:
• Managing perfectionism, burnout, imposter feelings, or the hidden pressures of leadership and high performance
• Feeling stuck in recurring patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviour, or relationships
• Struggling with intimacy, emotional or physical connections, distance or trust
• Noticing past experiences are being replayed in your current relationships or work
• Facing creative blocks, meaning crises, or questioning identity, values, or direction in life
• Navigating life transitions such as career change, parenthood, peri/postnatal adjustment, menopause, ageing, or later-life shifts
I bring particular experience in working with anxiety, depression, stress, and feeling overwhelmed; identity, gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity (GSRD-affirmative); attachment and relational patterns; emotional understanding, expression, and regulation; physical health concerns; and peri/postnatal experiences, menopause, and transitions across the lifespan.
If this resonates, you're welcome to contact me for a brief initial conversation to see if we're a good fit.
Practice description
In our work, the therapeutic relationship becomes a safe, contained space to explore how you relate to others and to yourself, how you protect against vulnerability, and how your attachment patterns show up in everyday life. Over time, this can deepen emotional literacy and regulation, ease distress, and open up new possibilities for living and relating.
I typically work long term, which is because psychodynamics works at a depth level, focussing on unconscious processes and the roots of patterns, not just surface symptoms.
However, I also offer short term work which can be oriented towards a psychodynamic model, or based on CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), CFT (compassion focussed therapy), or ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy).
I am couples-trained and welcome working with couples and other relationship constellations. I work from an affirmative, strengths-based, progressive perspective, attuned to complex, ambitious and creative lives.
Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello,
I am a clinical supervisor offering supervision to trainees and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. My approach is relational, psychodynamic and collaborative, providing a reflective, containing and professionally grounded space in which to think about clinical work, therapeutic processes and practitioner development.
The supervision I aim to offer is a supportive space where we can think together about clinical material alongside less visible relational and unconscious dynamics that may be shaping the work. This includes attending to transference and countertransference, defenses, attachment patterns, parallel processes, repetition, enactment, resistance and emotional communications.
My hope for supervision is to support you to think not only about what is happening in your client's life, but also about what is being communicated, repeated, defended against or unconsciously evoked within the therapeutic relationship itself.
My supervision style is collaborative, containing and exploratory. I offer a space where we can tolerate complexity, uncertainty and where difficult feelings can be acknowledged and worked through.
While I welcome working with relational psychodynamic practitioners, you do not need to be psychodynamically trained to work with me in supervision. I work with therapists from a range of modalities and can integrate relational and psychodynamic thinking in a way that complements and enriches your existing clinical approach.
Practice description
I see supervision as central to the development of working clinical at relational depth, ethical clarity and confidence in practice. I welcome supervisees who are looking for support with a range of clinical and professional issues including,
• thinking psychodynamically and relationally about client work
• exploring unconscious dynamics including transference and countertransference, attachment patterns, parallel process, enactment, projection, repetition, resistance and emotional communication
• concentrating on the roots of difficulties, not only symptoms
• deepening clinical confidence and further developing your therapeutic voice and identity
• developing the use-of-self and making sense of the therapist's own emotional responses as clinically meaningful
• working with complexity, ambivalence, ambiguity and the demands of therapeutic clinical work
• safe but stretching – supporting you to think deeply about complex presentations while maintaining your resilience and professional identity
• Developing clinical skills including: complex assessment, formulation and treatment planning; Risk assessment, safeguarding and multi agency liaison; Ethical decision making and clinical governance; Outcome measures, psychometrics and record keeping.
While my core orientation is relational psychodynamic I am also trained in CBT, CFT, ACT, couples, systemic/family therapy and existential psychotherapy. We can draw on these orientations and tools if they have clinical use.
I work with both trainees and qualified practitioners. For trainees, I offer a supportive and thoughtful space to build confidence, integrate learning with practice and develop psychodynamic understanding. For qualified practitioners I offer in-depth supervision that supports ongoing reflection, professional development and sustaining engagement with clinical work.
