About me and my therapy practice
I use a variety of approaches tailored to each client and their goals. I believe people are the experts of their own life and experiences, but can become stuck in old patterns.
These patterns may lead someone to unhelpful behaviours, feelings or relationships without fully realising how they ended up there. Therapy can be a highly effective space to look at how these elements came to be and words towards changing them.
I feel my role as a therapist is to act as a collaborator, observer and interlocutor to explore these patters and create new ways forward. I do this by exploring the intersection of the past and present, emotions, thoughts and behaviours to identify what might be contributing to the issues at hand. We can challenge these unhelpful patterns together and create new healthier ones.
My first session
We'll have an initial free 20 minute call or video chat so I can hear more about what brings you to therapy.
During a first session, we'll do a collaborative assessment, where we'll look at what your goals are, do a brief personal history, and you can get a sense if we're a good fit.
