About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP accredited, qualified Person-Centred and Emotion-Focused Therapeutic Counsellor working with adults. If you're experiencing anxiety, depression, or feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, I can offer a safe, supportive space to help you explore your thoughts and emotions, gain a deeper understanding of what you're going through, and reconnect with your sense of self.

Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience and over 30 years of supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds through both counselling and social care. I believe that every person has their own unique story, and I work collaboratively, with compassion and without judgement, to support each client's individual needs.

In addition to my private practice, I work as a High Intensity Counsellor within the NHS Talking Therapies service. I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as those who are autistic or living with neurodivergence. I also support parents, partners, and families who are navigating the opportunities and challenges that neurodivergence can bring.

Practice description

**on line or telephone sessions only**

My first session

Choosing a therapist is a very personal decision, and I believe it's important to find someone who feels like the right fit for you. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to counselling, and finding a therapist you feel comfortable with can make a real difference.

Counselling is also an investment in your wellbeing, as well as a financial commitment, so I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of how I work.

The consultation is also an opportunity for us both to consider whether we would work well together. If I don't feel I'm the best person to support you, I'll always be honest and, where possible, recommend another therapist or organisation that may be better suited to your needs.

What I can help with

ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Neurodiversity, Pet bereavement, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Sensory impairment, Service veterans, Stress, Work related issues
