About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I am Jen. I have been a qualified counsellor since 2018, and I work in an integrative model. What that really means is that I am person centred in my core – I believe that you are the expert on you, and that sometimes you need a space, and some support, to work out an issue or a challenge. I also draw on other modalities of counselling (this is where ‘integrative’ comes in) where appropriate to your circumstances.
I can work with many challenges, and am happy to work with you on whatever it is that you want to bring. To give you an idea of the sort of things I have worked with more specifically I have supported challenges such as homelessness, addiction, family issues, parenting, adoption, study and student challenges, school attendance challenges, bereavement and loss, palliative care and life shortening conditions, baby and child loss, religious trauma, neurodiversities, work issues, and identity issues.
I work with adults and young people, and have a further qualification for working with young people as well as adults. I have done a lot of work with students of all ages too. I offer short and longer term counselling and I can see you face to face, online or by telephone.
Please get in touch if you have any further questions, and I look forward to working with you soon.
Practice description
I work in person, online or by telephone. You are welcome to access therapy in one of these ways - or a mixture of them all - it's what works for you.
My availibilty is flexible, so please get in touch to find a time that suits you. I'm not availible on the weekends though.
I provide short term and long term therapy options.
My first session
Therapy shouldn't be intimidating. Pop in to my therapy room and we can have a cuppa and a chat about what is happening for you and what has informed your decision.
Online or on the phone, grab yourself a cup of something and join me from somewhere that feels safe and private and we can have the same discussion as we would in person.
I do ask you to fill in some details and sign a short agreement when we first meet - and this is our commitment to each other about the time we spend together.
I don't use assessment tools as a matter of regularity - but sometimes these can be helpful, so we can discuss this together when we meet.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello. My name is Jen. I have been a qualified counsellor since 2018, and I work using an integrative model. I have been a qualified supervisor since 2025.
I have worked across a number of specialisms. To give you an idea of the sort of things I have worked with I have supported challenges such as homelessness, addiction, family issues, parenting, adoption, study and student challenges, school attendance challenges, bereavement and loss, palliative care and life shortening conditions, baby and child loss, religious trauma, neurodiversities, work issues, and identity issues.
I work with adults and young people, and have a further qualification for working with young people as well as adults. I have done a lot of work with students of all ages too. I offer short and longer term counselling and I can see you face to face, online or by telephone in my counselling practice.
As a supervisior I see the work as a peer relationship - giving you a safe space to be able to reflect on and explore your practice in a meaningful way. I love working with other therapists to support growth and development.
I have experience working in the third sector - in a number of difference charity settings, EAP, Private Practice and University/education settings so can supervise your practice wherever you are currently working.
