I offer face-to-face counselling at Bromsgrove Golf Centre, Worcestershire (B60 1LD), as well as online sessions for children, young people and adults.
Face-to-face counselling provides a dedicated, confidential space away from the distractions of everyday life, where you can focus on yourself, explore your feelings and talk openly in a comfortable setting. Meeting in person can help some people feel more connected and supported as they build a therapeutic relationship.
Online counselling offers a flexible and convenient alternative, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. It removes the need to travel, making sessions easier to fit around work, education, family life and other commitments. Some people also find it easier to open up when they are in familiar surroundings.
Both options provide an opportunity to explore your concerns, gain a better understanding of yourself and work towards positive change in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. I aim to make counselling accessible and welcoming, helping you choose the option that feels most comfortable and suitable for your needs.
Please get in touch to enquire about my current availability and discuss whether face-to-face or online counselling would work best for you.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, BACP-registered integrative counsellor, working with children, young people and adults. I recognise that everyone has their own story and that our experiences, relationships and life circumstances shape how we feel and think.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches, adapting the way I work to suit your individual needs, experiences and goals. I aim to understand you as a whole person, exploring both your current difficulties and experiences that may have contributed to them.
I support clients experiencing a range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety, panic, overthinking and excessive worry
- Low mood, depression and feeling overwhelmed
- Stress, work pressures and burnout
- Exam stress and school-related anxiety
- Bullying and difficulties with confidence
- Low self-esteem and self-worth
- Relationship difficulties, family conflict and separation
- Grief, loss and significant life changes
- Trauma and difficult past experiences
- Emotional regulation, anger and difficult feelings
- Addiction and alcohol-related difficulties
- Boundaries, people-pleasing and recurring patterns of behaviour
When working with children and young people, I adapt sessions to their age and individual needs, helping them express feelings, explore worries, navigate friendships and family changes, and develop healthier coping strategies.
I am also the founder of ASCS Alcohol Recovery, supporting individuals who want to change their relationship with alcohol. Alongside my professional experience, I bring over 11 years of personal alcohol sobriety and an understanding of the challenges recovery can involve.
My aim is to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier ways of coping and work towards meaningful change.
Practice description
Choosing a counsellor is a personal decision, and feeling comfortable with the person you work with is important. I aim to create a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can feel at ease, be yourself and talk openly, knowing you will be met with compassion, respect and understanding.
You don't need to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. Sometimes, it can be difficult to put feelings into words or understand why things feel the way they do. We can take the time to explore this together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I offer space to talk, reflect and gain a different perspective, while also exploring practical strategies and approaches where helpful. I will listen carefully, ask questions and offer reflections to support your understanding, always respecting that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to work alongside you, helping you explore your options and find a way forward that feels right for you.
When working with children and young people, I understand the importance of building trust and creating an environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I adapt sessions to their age and needs, using conversation and appropriate activities where helpful. I also recognise the importance of working sensitively with parents and carers, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and safeguarding boundaries.
Through ASCS Alcohol Recovery, I offer additional support for individuals who want to explore their drinking, understand their triggers and develop healthier ways of coping. My approach is supportive and tailored to the individual, drawing on professional experience and over 11 years of personal sobriety. This support does not replace medical treatment.
Whether you are seeking counselling for yourself or your child, or enquiring about ASCS Alcohol support, you are welcome to get in touch.

My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet, get to know each other and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you have never spoken to a counsellor before. You may have lots of thoughts and feelings you want to share, or you may find it difficult to know where to start. There is no right or wrong way to begin, and you can take things at your own pace.
During our initial assessment, we will talk about what has been happening in your life, the difficulties you may be facing and what you hope to gain from counselling. This is also an opportunity for me to understand your individual circumstances and how I may be able to support you. If you are seeking counselling for your child, we can discuss their needs and the best way to help them feel comfortable and supported. For those enquiring about ASCS Alcohol Recovery, we can explore your current relationship with alcohol and the changes you would like to work towards.
I want you to feel welcome, listened to and able to ask questions without feeling judged or under pressure. You do not need to have all the answers or know exactly what you need from counselling. Sometimes, simply having the space to talk things through can be a helpful starting point.
The initial assessment usually lasts 45–50 minutes and costs £55. It also gives you the opportunity to get a feel for how I work and decide whether you feel comfortable continuing. We can then discuss the next steps together and what support may be most appropriate for you or your child.
Taking the first step can be difficult, but you do not have to face things alone. If you feel counselling may help, I would be pleased to hear from you to arrange an assessment.
