About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I will offer you a holistic approach to therapy, that integrates counselling, psychotherapy and coaching for those who are feeling stuck; struggling with thoughts, feelings, behaviours and situations that have become difficult to understand or manage. I offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to sort through things with a professional.

You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress or relationships. You might need support with family problems, loneliness, loss or low-confidence. You could be feeling stuck, finding it difficult to understand why, unable to move on with your life as you would wish.

You may be affected by an affair or betrayal and want someone neutral to talk things through with; a space where you don't have to carry someone else's feelings. You may have developed an obsession, limerence or addiction which is difficult to talk about.

You may feel burnt out at work or have imposter syndrome. You could find setting boundaries tricky, have a tendency to over people-please or blow up in anger. You may notice an insecure pattern in your friendships and relationships and want to change this through understanding yourself better or exploring the impact your early relationships and experiences have had on you.

You could be finding big life changes such as midlife, becoming a parent, young adult, aging, the menopause, starting a family, losing a loved one, or empty nest, difficult to manage. You may feel violated and oppressed by the way others have responded to your cultural identity or gender. You may feel great sadness due to not being able to fully open up about your sexuality.

You could be struggling to start a family due to fertility problems or IVF, or have postnatal depression. You may want to work on more constructive ways of managing children, family and work.

I have worked with clients on all of the above. Whatever brings my clients to therapy, we’ll explore it together in search of the path forward.

Practice description

I have practices in the Harley Street District and in East London both accessible via public transport, car or cycling. Set up a free consultation with me and we'll go from there. To book a consultation please go directly to my website suneegoringtherapy.com where you will find an online booking form showing my available time slots. Once I've received this, I will get back to you within 24 hours.

My first session

My process:

Through the integration of counselling, psychotherapy and coaching, my sessions will offer you an empowering journey which incorporates healing, changing and growing.

Begin to heal.

I’ll offer you a secure, empathic, non-judgemental space where you’ll be supported to untangle and process difficult thoughts and feelings, to make more sense of them. You’ll be supported to understand yourself better and to take stock of your life up until now by exploring the impact your experiences have had on you.

Begin to change:

We’ll explore how your life experiences, or the people in your life, have informed the thought patterns and belief systems you have that are making you feel bad, standing in your way, or stopping you being able to make important decisions or changes you want to make. Once you understand yourself on a deeper level, you can begin to recognise your unhelpful belief systems, weigh them up, challenge them, and begin to replace them with more constructive ways of thinking and managing, and begin to move forwards.

Begin to grow:

We'll focus on self acceptance and letting go of other's expectations so that you can look at what it is that you really, really want from your life. What makes you happy? Proud? Playful? Fulfilled? You are in charge of your growth and taking your life in the direction you want it to go in. I will be behind you all the way. We’ll look beneath your desires to think about values, strengths, meaning and purpose and set up achievable goals that move you towards your aspirations to help you feel more fulfilled, purposeful and empowered.

I work with adults of all ages and older teenagers. I see clients locally in-person and internationally online, with clients as far from the UK as Australia. I offer sessions either face-to-face at practices in the Harley Street District W1, South Woodford E18, online or over the phone.
