About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor and a registered BACP member.  I work with individuals, both face-to-face and online, and offer short-term (six weeks minimum) or long-term (open-ended) counselling.  I use a combination of Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis methods, and have a particular interest in trauma. 

My aim is to help you feel more grounded and empowered, so that over time you can feel better about yourself and more confident about your place in the world.  Together we will work at a pace that suits you to help you address difficult issues, and ultimately improve your quality of life, work and relationships.  


Practice description

The prospect of counselling can seem daunting at first, but we all have times in our lives when things become too much. You may already have a clear idea of things in your life you want to change, or you may feel there’s something wrong, but you can’t quite work out what it is. Whatever the problem, I will offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space in which you can discuss difficult issues.

Whether you are trying to process difficult events, adjusting to major life-changes, working through challenging relationships, seeking help with problems like depression and anxiety, or just trying to make more sense of your life, we will work together with compassion and curiosity to help you along a path of self-discovery. 


My first session

I offer all prospective clients a free, initial 30-minute phone call or online session in which you can discuss your challenges and ask me questions, and I can see how I might help you.. Together, we will conduct an assessment and we can both decide if working with each other feels right.  If you feel you would like to begin working with me, we can then set a regular time to meet.
