Availability

I currently have availability and am welcoming new clients.

I offer sessions Monday to Friday, with morning, afternoon and evening slots available. This means I can usually find a time that works around your work or study schedule, whether that's before your day starts, on a lunch break, or once you've finished for the evening.

About me and my therapy practice

Something brought you here today and whatever it is, I'm really glad you found your way to this page.

Maybe you're going through a breakup that's hit harder than you expected. Maybe you're in the middle of a big life change and feeling more lost than excited. Maybe grief has shown up in a way that doesn't quite fit the way people talk about it. Or maybe anxiety has just quietly become the background noise of your life, and you're tired of carrying it alone.

I'm Victoria, a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, and I work online with young adults who are in the thick of it. Not the polished, figured-out version of life. The real, complicated, sometimes overwhelming version.

I work in an integrative way, which simply means I tailor how we work to you, drawing on person-centred therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and other approaches depending on what feels most helpful. What stays constant is the quality of our relationship: you'll always feel heard, never judged, and genuinely supported to find your own way through.

There's no script, no checklist, and no sense that you need to arrive with the right answers. You just need to show up.

I work in a way that's shaped around you, drawing on different approaches depending on what feels most useful. Sometimes that means exploring where things come from. Sometimes it means finding small ways to move forward even when everything still feels unclear.

I'm naturally curious, and I'll ask a lot of questions, not to test you, but because I genuinely want to understand your life and what this time is asking of you. I'll never rush you or push you somewhere you're not ready to go. But I will be honest with you, and I'll gently challenge you when I think it might help.

More than anything, I want our sessions to feel like somewhere you can breathe, where the pressure lifts a little, and you start to feel more like yourself again.

Practice description

Based in Cape Town, I run a private online practice working with young adults, it's a small, personal practice and that's deliberate. I work with a limited number of clients so I can show up fully for each person.

Everything happens over video call, from wherever feels comfortable for you. There's no commute, no waiting room, just a quiet hour that's entirely yours.

Sessions are 50 minutes and usually weekly, at least to begin with. As things settle, we can talk about what rhythm works best for you.

I'm BACP registered, which means I work to a clear ethical framework and your confidentiality and safety always come first.

My first session

Before we meet I'll send you a short intake form and a consent form to complete. Neither takes long, they just give me a little background so we can make the most of our time together from the start.

The first session itself is relaxed. There's no assessment, no formal structure, and nothing you need to prepare. It's really just a chance for us to meet, for you to share a little about what's been going on, and for me to get a sense of what you're looking for.

It's also a chance for you to get a feel for me, how I work, whether my style feels right for you, and whether this feels like somewhere you could open up. Finding the right fit matters, and I'd never want you to feel any pressure to continue if it doesn't feel like the right match.

The first session is the same rate as all subsequent sessions.
