About me and my therapy practice

We can all feel stuck at times - whether navigating difficult life circumstances, processing trauma, experiencing relationship challenges, or feeling overwhelmed. I offer a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC and an EMDR therapist, working across both NHS and private practice. I draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals, and preferences so that it feels meaningful, focused, and effective.

Sessions are a space where we can develop a deeper understanding of any challenges you may be facing, combining psychological insight with practical strategies that can help create meaningful and lasting change in your life. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and flexible.

I have experience working with a range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, PTSD, domestic abuse and sexual violence, grief and loss, and relationship issues. Whether you are seeking support for a specific difficulty or looking to better understand yourself, together we can find what is most helpful for you.

Practice description

I offer a free initial 15-minute telephone consultation on request.

In person sessions are offered in central Bath, BA1.

Online sessions are held via an encrypted video platform.

I offer a limited number of concessionary-rate sessions for those who might struggle to access psychotherapy due to financial constraints.

My first session

Your first session will usually be a 50-minute consultation session. This means that I will provide a brief introduction to some important information about our therapeutic agreement including explaining issues around confidentiality, legal obligations and what you might expect from the therapeutic process. I will also explore with ask you what has brought you to therapy and any relevant personal history you may wish to share. You will have the opportunity to discuss any current difficulties you may be experiencing and your goals for therapy and I will also invite you to ask any questions you may have about starting therapy. We can then use this information to decide together on a possible initial therapeutic plan that might best support you with your goals.
