There are times in life when things can feel overwhelming, and you may find yourself feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure where to turn next. You might be someone who has always managed on your own, but lately it feels as though carrying everything by yourself is no longer sustainable.
If this feels familiar, you don't need to have everything worked out before coming to counselling. My aim is to offer you a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, talk openly, and make sense of what's happening in your life without judgement. Together, we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
From the outside, it may seem like you're coping well keeping up with work, family, or other responsibilities while inside you're feeling drained, overwhelmed, or disconnected. If you're sensing that something needs to change but aren't sure where to begin, we can work together to understand what's keeping you feeling stuck and find a way forward that feels meaningful, realistic, and right for you.
Practice description
I work integratively, tailoring therapy to you as an individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy to meet your unique needs and goals.
I also offer Solution-Focused Therapy, which can be particularly helpful if you're looking for a more goal-oriented approach. Together, we'll build on your strengths, recognise what's already working, and identify practical, achievable steps towards meaningful change.
I specialise in telephone counselling, providing flexible and accessible support wherever you are. Many people find that talking over the phone feels less daunting than meeting face-to-face, making it easier to open up and speak freely. If you value privacy, have a busy schedule, or simply feel more comfortable in your own surroundings, telephone counselling can offer a relaxed and effective way to access support without the added pressure of travel or unfamiliar environments.
My first session
Your first counselling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore what has brought you to counselling, what you'd like support with, and where you are at the moment. This initial session also gives us both the chance to consider whether we feel we're the right fit to work together. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of the counselling process, and there's no obligation to continue if it doesn't feel right. If we decide to work together, we'll arrange ongoing weekly sessions that support your needs and goals. The fee for the initial session is £80, the same as all subsequent counselling sessions. What I can help with
