About me and my therapy practice

Life can get hard sometimes (really hard), and there’s no reason why you should have to face this chapter of your life on your own.

Many of us spend years trying to cope with anxiety, overwhelm, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or a lingering feeling of being a little lost within our own lives. I can offer you a space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what’s going on beneath the surface.

You don’t need another person telling you what they think you ‘should’ do. Instead, my role is to help you reconnect with yourself, understand your emotions and patterns more clearly, and explore what feels right for you and your life moving forward.

I work in a warm, relational, and compassionate way, creating a space where you can feel safe enough to be honest about what’s really going on, without judgement or pressure.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to carrying everything on your own. But how are you supposed to know how to care for yourself differently if no one has ever shown you how?

Having the support of a counsellor can help you notice the missing pieces of the jigsaw you’ve been trying to make sense of, whether that’s connected to your past, your present, or the future you’re trying to build. We all have blind spots sometimes, and therapy can offer a gentle space to explore the parts of ourselves that are harder to see alone.

Helping people build healthier and more compassionate relationships with themselves is at the heart of what I do.

I work with adults who come to therapy for all kinds of reasons, from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and identity struggles, to work-related burnout, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and learning to understand themselves more deeply, including those navigating neurodivergence.

So many people move through life feeling disconnected from who they truly are, constantly trying to meet expectations, keep up, or become the version of themselves they think they ‘should’ be.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation before beginning therapy. This is simply a chance for us to have a chat as two people, talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, and see whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

You have the option to have your sessions in three different ways, so you can choose what feels right for you:

  • In person (Digbeth, Birmingham) – A calm, dedicated therapy space for focused, face-to-face work.
  • Walk & Talk (Cannon Hill Park or Warley Woods) – Ideal if you prefer being outdoors or find it easier to reflect while moving side by side in nature without direct eye contact.
  • Online (UK-wide) – Flexible and accessible from the comfort of your own space.

Some clients prefer a regular weekly slot, whilst others need more flexibility due to work patterns, family life, or changing schedules. Wherever possible, we can work together to find an arrangement that feels manageable and supportive for you.
