About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling stuck, unmotivated and overwhelmed? Maybe you have recently experienced a loss, like a bereavement or divorce and are struggling to adapt. Maybe you want to make a change but feel helpless and don't know how to move forward? Life is chaotic and confusing, and because we aren't born with a manual, we frequently feel overwhelmed. Helping you to understand yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.

I help people cope with change, whether that be something that wasn't your choice like a bereavement or divorce, or something you want to happen but don't know how, like stuck in a job/career you can't see a way out of. Maybe you are struggling to cope with a life transition. Either way you may feel anxiety, grief, depression or overwhelmed.

Helping you to understand yourself gives YOU the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you. I offer a 15 min FREE chat so we can both get a sense of if we are a good fit. Providing we are, we would then arrange a first introductory session where I can get a better understanding of you and your life and go from there.

Practice description

I have experience working with individuals with mild to severe difficulties across all issues. I am involved with a grief charity where I have spent time working with parents who have lost a partner.

I am also completing a doctorate which is focused on work related issues around meaning and identity regarding graduates, mid-life, redundancy and retirement issues.

I am a Registered Member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and, while I work towards my doctorate, a trainee member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, the Universities Psychotherapy and Counselling Association, and the Society for Existential Analysis.

My first session

My approach to therapy is a collaborative process in which I try to immerse myself in your experience and world to gain a better understanding of how it is for you. I then work to support, question, guide, and when necessary, challenge your views so you can come to understand why you feel and act the way you do.

Helping you to understand yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.
