About me and my therapy practice
Are you dealing with a bereavement, loss or major change in your life such as a diagnosis of autism, ADHD or cancer? Are you feeling high levels of anxiety or overwhelmed by a recent or past trauma? Are you experiencing family or relationship difficulties?
At some points in our lives we all need extra support and this is nothing to feel ashamed of. In fact, asking for help is one of the best ways for you to care for yourself. I am an integrative counsellor which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques that are most appropriate for you as the client.
The key to successful outcomes in counselling is the quality of the relationship between the counsellor and the client so I offer a warm, empathic and authentic approach with some gentle challenge when needed. I am also neurodiversity-affirming.
If appropriate, we may explore your early life experiences and relationships to better understand your current way of being.
I work mostly online using Zoom as I feel this gives greater flexibility to access counselling and it allows you to be in a setting where you feel most comfortable, however I also have some limited in person availability based near Clapham Junction.
I have worked as a teacher, a psychologist and a team manager. I am a mother (of two teenage children and one needy cockapoo) and have lived part of my life in the Middle East.
Practice description
As a trained Educational Psychologist, I have a sound understanding of how additional needs such as autism and ADHD can impact your daily life and relationships. I also have particular experience of working with bereavement, trauma, work stress, problematic family relationships and living with cancer.
My counselling process will help you to explore the sometimes painful feelings, past experiences and stuck patterns of behaviour that may be holding you back.
Therapy with me will help you to understand yourself better, leading to greater self-acceptance and behavioural change. You will feel validated and calmer, have a more balanced perspective and feel able to manage difficult feelings and situations with greater success. This will lead to improved relationships and a sense of being your authentic self.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute initial call by video or by phone, whichever you prefer. This allows you to share why you are seeking support and to ask any questions.
Following this, we can set up our first full 50-minute session, which will be charged, and from there we can decide whether we will continue to work together.
I offer a limited number of reduced-fee places at £50 for students, including trainee counsellors and those on low incomes.
I am also a Vitality recognised practitioner.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a trainee supervisor looking to provide low cost supervision to both counsellors who are experienced and those of you just starting out, who might need a calm and gentle hand to guide you through.
My aim is to provide you with a safe, professional space to support your work with clients and your professional development.
Clinical supervision allows for structured reflection on your practice and encourages the development of skills, knowledge, awareness and ethical judgement within a supportive relationship.
I aim to develop a trusting relationship with you where you feel comfortable to bring your challenges, successes, dilemmas and even errors – as we are all human and can get things wrong sometimes.
Practice description
As a counsellor and a trainee supervisor, I use a relational, integrative model based primarily on a combined person centred and psychodynamic modality. I also draw on attachment theory and on bereavement and trauma-informed models. The main model that I use to underpin my supervision work is the Seven Eyed Model, which helps to explore casework from the perspective of the client, the supervisee and the supervisor and to look at the relationships that exist between all of them.
My areas of specialism include: bereavement, trauma, loss, working with adults with ADHD and autism, living with cancer, attachment and relationship difficulties as well as anxiety, depression, work-related stress and burnout.
I have a background in teaching and psychology and worked as a local authority Educational Psychologist for many years in schools and as a co-leader of a team of psychologists.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute online consultation to see if we would be a good match to work together as supervisor and supervisee. Following this we can go in to book our first full, paid session.
In the first full session we will look at your caseload and how you are set up to work e.g. online, in person, privately, as part of an agency etc. We will spend some time getting to know each other as I feel it is important for me to have a sense of what else is going on in your life to best support you in supervision and with your own wellbeing. From there we will go on to discuss any casework that you would like to bring to the session.
I am happy to offer 1 hour or 1.5 hour supervision sessions at a cost of £25 per hour.
