About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative psychotherapist my aim is to help you understand yourself better, hold up a mirror to your experience, and help you achieve what you're looking for in life. I have trained in a number of modalities so I can take the elements that suit you as an individual, based on your particular concerns.
My work is heavily relational, empathic, and hopeful. I always aim to be a whole person who shows up, not a blank slate, so we can collaboratively work together as equals.
I offer both in-person and online appointments.
Practice description
I specialise in disordered eating, body image work, single event and complex/relational trauma, and LGBTQ+ concerns. I have training and several years' experience in all these areas.
Alongside this, I also work with many people on issues such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Health anxiety
- Bereavement and loss
- Self-harm
- Relationship and attachment issues
- Building trust and confidence
- Single event and complex trauma (incl. PTSD and cPTSD)
- Neurodivergence
As such, we could be working together anywhere from between a few months, to 5+ years. I deliberately keep the work open-ended so you never feel any pressure to end therapy before you feel ready.
My first session
Your first session can feel anywhere from daunting to exciting! If you have questions or wish to discuss if we would be a good fit for each other, you are more than welcome to book a discovery call with me - this is a short 10-minute phone call with no pressure or obligation to book an initial appointment afterwards. Alternatively, if a phone call is not your thing, you are welcome to email me or send a text/WhatsApp message and we can talk through those mediums.
During the first session we will usually talk through your history, your reasons for starting therapy, and your potential goals.
