About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes we believe we are the only ones who feel and think the way we do. We can feel isolated and alone, trapped in a vicious circle of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions. This can make us feel that we are not in control of our life and not living to our full potential. As an experienced Integrative Counsellor, I draw on different therapies depending on what you would like to achieve and your individual needs.

My name is Sue and I am an empathic, compassionate non- judgemental Counsellor with experience of working with people of all different ages, cultures, genders and sexual orientations. I will treat you with respect and integrity, allowing you to be yourself and talk about what is going on for you.

If you would like to find out if I am the right Counsellor for you, we will have a free 20-minute telephone or online conversation.

Practice description

We will meet for a free 20-minute consultation where you can ask me any questions and we can discuss what issues and goals you may have. You can then decide if I am the right Counsellor for you. We will then work together and I will explain what therapy entails. We will then have an individual plan to suit your needs. As I am an integrative Counsellor, I will draw on several different therapies which include many evidence-based theories.

I work either face to face, online, or telephone depending on your individual needs. I am fully qualified by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, which can be found on the BACP website. I am also committed to continuous professional development ensuring I am offering you the best possible outcome. I also receive supervision on a regular basis which also ensures I am providing you with the best possible care, in a safe and ethical way.

My first session

After our initial 20-minute consultation and you have decided I am the right Counsellor for you. We will have our first session where we will go through an initial assessment. We will do this in the way that suits you most. You may have questions about therapy as this may be your first time.

I offer short- and long-term therapy, this will depend on your needs and will be decided by you. I am flexible and offer sessions during the day and evening. If you would like to have a 20 minute consultation please contact me via phone, email, or text. I will endeavour to reply to you on the same day.
