Availability
I primarily see clients Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with limited availability for evening and weekend appointments. My schedule occasionally shifts based on client needs, and I do my best to offer flexibility when possible.
If I’m currently full, I maintain a short waitlist and reach out as soon as openings become available. I believe therapy works best when sessions are consistent and predictable, so I aim to find times that fit naturally within your week.
Any planned time away or changes to my schedule are always communicated in advance, and I make sure clients have appropriate support and resources during those periods.
If you’re interested in starting therapy or would like to know more about current availability, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be happy to connect and discuss scheduling options.
About me and my therapy practice
In my practice, I create a space that is approachable, supportive, and human—so you can bring your real self, your true questions, and the full complexity of your life. My background as both a psychotherapist and a nutritionist gives me a unique lens: we don’t just talk about thoughts and feelings, we also explore how your body, your eating patterns, your lifestyle and your relationship with food and self are all part of the picture.
A Whole-Person Approach
I believe wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit—the recognition that everything we do, think, feel and believe affects our state of well-being. (As one author put it: “Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind and spirit…”.) So when we meet, we do more than just “talk.” We may look at how your physical health and your emotional health are intertwined: how your sleep, your movement, your nutrition, and your inner world all impact each other.
This means:
We’ll explore how you relate to food, your body, and yourself—not just “what you eat,” but what eating means to you, how you use it (or it uses you) for comfort, control, culture, coping, or conflict.
We’ll pay attention to how your body holds the story of your life—trauma, transition, stress show up physically as well as emotionally.
We’ll work on thoughts and feelings (what you tell yourself, how you feel in your body) and behavioural changes (how you move, how you eat, how you live day-to-day).
Collaborative and Transparent
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, safe, and free to be open. That means I strive to be transparent in how I work—what the process is, what to expect, what we’re doing together. I aim to build a genuine collaboration: you don’t just show up and I “fix” you. Instead we explore together, taking your strengths, your pace, your goals as central.
Practice description
Tailored to Where You Are Right Now
Everyone brings a different story: maybe you’re recovering from trauma, maybe you’re navigating an eating disorder or complicated relationship with food, maybe you’re going through a major life transition or dealing with chronic stress. We’ll meet you where you are—and build from there.
What You Can Expect
A genuine partnership: we’ll check in together about how things are going, what’s working, what’s not.
Practical tools: you’ll leave with more than insight—you’ll leave with things you can try, reflect on, and revise.
Flexibility: real life is messy. We’ll adapt our work to your current phase—whether you’re in crisis, in gain, in healing, or in transition.
Compassion and clarity: you won’t be judged for where you are; you will be met with curiosity, respect, and actionable help.
Who This Is For
You might come to therapy with me if you’re:
Struggling with body-image issues, eating patterns, or a complex relationship with food and your body.
Coping with trauma, transitions, uncertainty, or long-standing patterns of self-criticism and perfectionism.
Ready to work on your inner life and how that shows up in your body, your habits, your relationships.
Wanting a therapist who honours your autonomy and helps you build a foundation of self-trust and self-care.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building the foundation for a supportive and collaborative relationship. I aim to create a calm and comfortable space where you can share what brings you to therapy at your own pace.
Before our first meeting, you’ll complete a brief intake form to help me learn a little about your background, goals, and what you’d like to focus on. This allows us to make the most of our time together and begin identifying areas for support.
During the session, we’ll talk about what’s been feeling difficult or important lately and what you hope to gain from therapy. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right — there’s no pressure to cover everything at once. I’ll also share a bit about how I work, answer any questions about the process, and help you get a sense of what ongoing sessions might look like.
By the end of our first meeting, we’ll discuss whether the approach feels like a good fit and, if so, outline next steps together. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
The first session is billed at the same rate as ongoing sessions. If you have questions about scheduling or fees, I’m happy to go over those details before we meet.
