About me and my therapy practice

I provide support for couples - Heterosexual or same sex, Married, cohabiting or dating.

Often the individuals in the relationship can resolve the differences by themselves and live fulfilling lives together.

At times however, the differences feel irreconcilable. The relationship feels complicated. The arrival of children to the family unit may contribute further to the difficulties.

My way of working with you:

I am an Integrative Relational Psychotherapist.

This means I can adapt my approach to your needs in a meaningful way.

Couples counselling tends to be short term and solution focused, as each partner in the relationship eagerly seeks practical ways to repair and affect a positive change.

How I may support you:

I can support with one or more of issues such as:

Communication: Feeling unheard, misunderstood or unimportant

Conflicts: Emotionally charged disagreements

Trust: Betrayal, infidelity, or broken promises eroding trust, causing relational strain

Intimacy: Becoming less frequent, and emotional connection not so meaningful

Financial Difficulties: Insufficient income, poor spending habits, unclear priorities

Sexual connection: Sexual preferences, mismatched boundaries, unmet needs

Parenting: Mismatched parenting styles, unhelpful familial alliances

Pre-existing experiences: Past traumas, unresolved issues, past relationships

Quality Time: Rediscovering the time once enjoyed together

Mismatched expectations: Reconciling expectations, roles, commitment, future plans

Together, we can, work through the difficulties making sense of your situation, enabling you to make a meaningful emotional shift for life to feel more wholesome.

At times however as a couple, you may have already resolved to part ways but seek support to do this amicably. The end of a relationship doesn’t have to be the start of enduring resentment and acrimony. I can support you in seeking to achieve a dignified ending.

I have been described as supportive, caring, compassionate and good humoured.

Practice description

I offer a complementary 30minute phone consultation to discuss your needs.

I could also describe my work and address any concerns you may have. This way we'd be able to assess if we are right for each other. It's important for you to get the therapeutic support that you feel you need, as all therapy is first and foremost about you and those needs!

Once we decide to work together we will either meet for sessions In-person or Online, or sometimes a mix of these settings to adapt to your needs.

For in-person sessions, I invite you to my practice, a welcoming and comfortable place, easily located in Bagshot, near Camberley, Surrey.

At the outset of our work, we will focus on identifying your counselling goals and expectations, and the therapeutic support plan, allowing you to achieve this.

We will also review the progress against these goals at regular intervals throughout our work to ensure the support you receive remains relevant.

You can expect from me unconditional respect for you and acceptance of your situation. I will listen with active curiosity and sensitivity.

I will strive for us to build that trusting therapeutic relationship, working collaboratively with you throughout.

We will explore together the challenges you may be confronted with while being emotionally present with you always.

In this manner we will discover ways to address your troubles and alternative ways of being , allowing the emotional shift you may be seeking.

My first session

We will have already discussed your needs and how we may work together during the initial consultation and, therefore we will commence our work already in the first session as I also value your time.

It takes much courage to even begin to attend a therapy session, and then speaking about what may be very personal experiences can feel overwhelming with a counsellor with whom you’re newly acquainted.

I do understand this with much empathy, being by your side, encourage you to proceed at the pace you feel acceptable to you.

I aim to provide an emotionally safe holding environment to help you and I to build trust and understanding in our relationship from the outset.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer one-to-one support for young people and adults, work with couples, and support counselling students.

My way of working with you

As an Integrative Relational Psychotherapist, I tailor my approach to your needs, with our relationship at the heart of change.

How I may support you

I support people facing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, domestic abuse, bullying, men’s issues, low self-esteem, identity concerns, loneliness, and other emotional challenges.

Together, we can work through difficulties and move towards a more fulfilling, authentic life.

We often hide how we feel. I can help uncover your true self and improve your relationships with yourself and others.

When problems feel unmanageable, I will support you without judgement, offering empathy, openness, and respect.

I am described as caring, compassionate, and good-humoured.

Couples therapeutic support

Couples may resolve differences themselves, but conflict can feel irreconcilable or changes such as having children may add strain.

Couples counselling offers a non-judgemental, impartial space to explore the relationship and learn to:

communicate more effectively;

understand relationship dynamics;

express needs authentically; and

manage the relationship in healthier ways.

Supporting Therapeutic Counselling Students

Counsellor training combines personal growth, study, skills development, and self-reflection. I offer students a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore its challenges and opportunities.

Training can surface personal and emotional challenges. I provide reflection on placements, course requirements, professional boundaries, and competing commitments, helping build resilience and self-awareness. I understand training administration and can work with institutions when needed to support progress towards qualification.

Together, we can develop your therapeutic identity, confidence, reflective practice, and understanding. Concessionary rates are available to counselling students.
